FlowRider blog post names Oasis 4 ship...?

It's not 'Syn'phony of the Seas though. D'oh!

It's a 'Syn' that the name was released early though. :D

Thanks for posting.

Wonder when Royal Caribbean will make it official.

To me both Harmony and Symphony both sound more like Quantum class ship names. They flow on from Anthem and Ovation.

I've heard that Harmony actually doesn't have to do with music, but something like "they worked together in perfect Harmony." But who knows if that's true.

However, Symphony definitely goes better with Q Class. Maybe Symphony was actually for Q4 and Flowrider messed up. ;)

Bob wonders if RCI paid Flowrider for this.

I would wonder with Bob. Now Royal is test marketing the name and getting feedback without a commitment to it. Not to mention they have sparked an interest in "is it or is it not the name". Look how it has now taken up a section of this thread. Once they officially announce it there is a loss of interest in what the name will be and a little less talk about the unknown of the ship. Leaking a name is one way to respark an interest in the ship.

Class name /= ship names... always.

Sunshine of the Seas never happened. Although, Quantum of the Seas did.

That's because Carnival quickly renamed Destiny to Carnival Sunshine. I think RCI sometimes sets things up, bait and switch. Think how many ship names they have in common. Who is copying who?
