Bonnie J. Posted April 11, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 11, 2016 Why hasn't CC deleted ALL the posts with symbols and no letters or words? A lot by the same poster.
Cruzaholic41 Posted April 11, 2016 #2 Share Posted April 11, 2016 Why hasn't CC deleted ALL the posts with symbols and no letters or words? A lot by the same poster. They have, numerous times. The posts keep coming back under new names.
Clarea Posted April 11, 2016 #3 Share Posted April 11, 2016 Why hasn't CC deleted ALL the posts with symbols and no letters or words? A lot by the same poster. It's been going on constantly for over 24 hours now. I'm sure CC is doing all they can.
Jane2357 Posted April 11, 2016 #4 Share Posted April 11, 2016 The site has clearly been hacked. I simply don't even click to open those threads - don't want a virus or something nasty. Hang tight and I'm sure they'll disappear.
Administrators Rare LauraS Posted April 11, 2016 Administrators #5 Share Posted April 11, 2016 This site has not been hacked. They are simply registering and posting just like you do. Don't click on any of the posts, they are easily avoidable

boulders Posted April 11, 2016 #7 Share Posted April 11, 2016 Cruise Critic might not have been hacked, but it is certainly full of spam this morning. The triangle button to report the posts isn't working either.
Pyrate13 Posted April 11, 2016 #8 Share Posted April 11, 2016 With the dot coms in the titles it appears they are directing to some web sites.:rolleyes:

Rare BlueRiband Posted April 11, 2016 #11 Share Posted April 11, 2016 It's periodic spamming. Somebody wants to sneak in web links to counterfeit merchandise sites or to streaming pirated videos. It costs the spammers nothing yet they probably do get some sales from their efforts.
boulders Posted April 11, 2016 #12 Share Posted April 11, 2016 I'm going to bump this thread up because it's about to fall off the first page due to all the spamming. The spam threads are making this forum useless.

Jane2357 Posted April 11, 2016 #14 Share Posted April 11, 2016 These people aren't just "posting" - so CC needs to do something to stop this before they start doing this on every page!
lahlah57 Posted April 11, 2016 #15 Share Posted April 11, 2016 Why does it even need to be given any thought? Ignore it! Too many other threads and subjects to be interested in than this gibberish! Why care or am I missing something:confused:

Krazy Kruizers Posted April 11, 2016 #17 Share Posted April 11, 2016 When I first started to see all those "crazy" threads a day or so ago -- I just ignored them. Didn't know if they contained any viruses or not.
CC Help Jenn Posted April 11, 2016 #18 Share Posted April 11, 2016 Thanks all for your patience while we combat these spammers. As always, we appreciate if you do have the time, to red triangle any posts that do not adhere to our guidelines - in this case spam :)
Slugsta Posted April 11, 2016 #19 Share Posted April 11, 2016 They are a nuisance because you have to scroll through several pages to find the 'real' threads. The fact that you can only report one post per minute means that 2 or 3 new threads had been posted before I was able to report another 1 this morning! How hard is it to scroll down the thread list and see them? Can't you just do that? Edited April 11, 2016 by Shmoo here

myfuzzy Posted April 11, 2016 #25 Share Posted April 11, 2016 I actually "triangled" last night, questioning those threads. If it actually someone who doesn't speak English, trying to ask a question, I asked why they weren't translated, but again, if they don't speak English, they wouldn't understand anyway. Thanks for this thread, had me wondering.
