caper508 Posted April 22, 2017 #1 Share Posted April 22, 2017 This is a silly question I think. How do you carry around your onboard cruise card? Are people using a lanyard? Sent from my iPhone using Forums

OCruisers Posted April 22, 2017 #6 Share Posted April 22, 2017 A smallish black purse which has no magnet closures. It goes with me everywhere. :)

dtb55 Posted April 22, 2017 #9 Share Posted April 22, 2017 I have a little cross body bag about the size of a wallet. It holds my cell phone and cruise card in separate compartments. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Rare Crew News Posted April 22, 2017 #10 Share Posted April 22, 2017 After being locked out of my stateroom several times, my lanyard with attached key card goes around my neck when I get out of bed and is removed when I go to bed.
crzndeb Posted April 22, 2017 #11 Share Posted April 22, 2017 Depends on what I'm wearing....purse, pocket or bra. Personally, I don't care for lanyards.

Rare John Bull Posted April 22, 2017 #13 Share Posted April 22, 2017 Probably the only advantage of being a smoker - it slides neatly into the back of a 20-pack of king-size. :) One big disadvantage - frequently having to wade thro' the contents of a trash can because I forgot to swap it to the new pack before disposing of the empty one. :( JB :)
caper508 Posted April 22, 2017 Author #14 Share Posted April 22, 2017 Ahhh pockets... brilliant. My cruise clothes don't have pockets so another option would be great. Thanks all. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Rare Hlitner Posted April 22, 2017 #15 Share Posted April 22, 2017 The same way I carry other cards, keys, etc. In my pocket. DW sometimes does not have any pockets...but then she will carry her card in her Kindle case (she takes that Kindle everywhere). In the evening if she has no pocket she asks me to carry her card. DW would never wear a lanyard (on or off a ship). She was a teacher for over 30 years and wore a lanyard with whistle at work. When she retired she remarked that there was no way she would again wear a lanyard :). Hank

cb at sea Posted April 22, 2017 #17 Share Posted April 22, 2017 Pocket for hubby..small purse for me! I need to have lipstick and comb, tissues, etc....handy! The ship is too big to run back to the cabin every time I need a "touch up!"
Rala Posted April 22, 2017 #18 Share Posted April 22, 2017 I use a very small (approx 4" X 6") cross body bag which is very lightweight. This bag also carries my glasses, lipstick and a little cash if I am heading for the casino! DH usually puts his in his pocket. :)

$hip$hape Posted April 22, 2017 #20 Share Posted April 22, 2017 (edited) Ahhh pockets... brilliant. My cruise clothes don't have pockets so another option would be great. Thanks all. I Keep It In Me Pocket. However, if I were staying in the Haven, I would wear it around me neck so everyone could see. Since I am lower class, the pocket thing just reminds me; Put on your trousers on before leaving the cabin. nybumpkin Posted April 22, 2017 #23 Share Posted April 22, 2017 Pocket. I hate wearing anything around my neck. My day clothing always has pockets; if my evening clothes don't, I bring a small purse, which I would need anyway for lip gloss.
jocap Posted April 22, 2017 #24 Share Posted April 22, 2017 After being locked out of my stateroom several times, my lanyard with attached key card goes around my neck when I get out of bed and is removed when I go to bed. Yes, that's me, except for formal nights, when it's in a small evening bag.
Krazy Kruizers Posted April 22, 2017 #25 Share Posted April 22, 2017 On the ship I keep it in my bermuda's pocket during the day and in the small purse I use for on shore and evenings. JMO -- Lanyard screams "toursit" when you are ashore.
