missed Royal call : upgrade fairy?

Did you ask your TA to call and check if any are eligible??

I need to talk to her again. I asked about it on Wednesday, and she emailed me back that the WOW sail only affected one of my cruises.

 

I did get $118 price reduction on that one. [emoji2]

It sounds like these calls with OBC offers to pay early are being offered to those in a JS or higher, is that true?

 

Not sure what classes were offered the extra OBC. We are in a Crown Loft. As previously stated, no Crown Lofts were left for our sailing when they gave us the $300 OBC for paying early.

Do you play in the Casino? Number is very close to Club Royale number. Maybe CR had an offer for you. We get the calls often.

 

never been on royal but would be nice if they gave me a room so i could play in their casino

I wish they would call me. lol I only wait because in my eyes that is when it is due. I think they are doing this to try to stop or deter people from holding cabins and then releasing when they payment needs to be made. I sure hope they do this for my sailing soon I did not book the Jr. Suite like I wanted and I have a balcony on Harmony for December. I want to upgrade but it is way too much right now because they only have a few left.

 

Crossing my fingers more people back out or I get lucky with an upgrade fairy. :halo:

Hope you get a call from one of the fairies. Have sailed on 20+ cruises with rci and have never been visited by the upgrade fairy or her couson the upsell fairy.

Actually when i got this call from my TA i was hoping it was an upsell to the owners suite on our explorer cruise next week. There were 5 owners suites available. Got a little excited when TA said royal was inquiring about our upcoming cruise. My heart skipped a beat thinking "yes" finally got a fairy visit. Then reality hit when TA mentioned october cruises. Ho well that still was a great offer for obc.

That is what happens to people who use automated dialers and then transfer the call if they don't get an answering machine. Well, my answering machine message is so short the think they got a real person. When I get home I get a lot of, "Hello, is anyone there?"

Mostly true but there is one exception. Suppose you are on a 7-night cruise, 2 in a room, and have a $300 OBC. If you do not prepay your gratuities and you spend $111 or less on board, then $189 ($13.50 x 7 x 2) of your OBC will be applied to your automatic gratuities. That $189 ($231 if you are in a suite) is like cash; it costs Royal Caribbean the full $189 since they still have to distribute the gratuities.

So many phone numbers are "spoofed" now that make them appear they are from a legit company.

 

I would have to be able to call Royal myself and verify before handing over my credit card number.

 

I am not too trusting of blind phone calls.....:D:D

 

Me too! I would ask the caller to give me a number to call back. Then I would call RCCL and ask if it's legitimate and have them help me.

Maybe there is a great sale coming up and they want final payments in so those people can't take advantage of the better pricing! Here's for wishful thinking lol.

 

Making final payments early doesn't change the final payment date.

Booked through a TA and my final payment for my Oct. 2017 sailing is due by 6/30. Confused about paying early.

My guess is that this is it- they are trying to flush out the folks just tying up the cabins. With any luck, their IT dept is coming up with an algorithm to detect the type of reservation most likely to fit this profile. :confused::(:o

IT seems it is only for suites!

I tried all my reservations no luck!:loudcry:

Anybody with a non-suite cabin have any luck?

It is for sure no problem to tie up several cabins per ship.......let alone on different ships....:D

Ours was a JS. It also seems to bee primarily Oasis ships.

It can't hurt to call and ask. From what I have read it seems like you need to be in a JS or higher room
