$400 OBC How can I use it?

On my 7 day Cruise next summer, I have $400 OBC. I know that the OBC can be applied to the gratuities and tours. I think I will have $150 over, can I use it in the Casino.

Can I get a refund for the amount not used?

First you need to look in your personalizer and see which credits are refundable and which are not to determine how much you really have after the expenses you anticipate. Refundable OBC will be refunded. You can use it in the Casino, bars, boutiques, shore excursions, coffee bar, specialty restaurants and whatever daily amount of gratuity you choose if you choose to adjust them.

When we have a lot of OBC we usually spend it on gratuities, Princess excursions, some drinks (we're not heavy drinkers), and we've purchased new digital cameras onboard.

One cruise where we had a LOT of OBC I asked my wife what we should do... her answer: "They have a jewelry store onboard, don't they?"

For that $150, just look around once onboard and you will see opportunities (shops, spa, excursions, photos, gambling). Amazingly easy to use OBC, especially if non-refundable.

O.

The crew get a set amount, after the pool goes to corp for distribution, the rest goes into employee incentive programs for Princess like employee of the month and parties. Better to be spent on something you like or want.

Find out if it's refundable.

Uuhhh, you forgot to emphasize that the vast majority of it gets distributed to the appropriate crew members forming a significant portion of their wage for the long hours, weeks and months that they work away from home.

Stop implying that the OP should just cancel the Gratuities and spend it all on themselves. Gratuities are a part of the cruise cost and should only be adjusted if dealing a problem up at Passenger Services fails to resolve it. If you can’t afford to cruise and pay the gratuities, cruise a couple of days less per year.

how does one amass such a quantity of OBC for a cruise? am i missing some secret tips or tricks? i never get much maybe $50 if im lucky... asking for a friend :halo::halo::halo:

You can booked under the 3 for free and receive $300. Your TA should give you $$$. You can purchase FCD and receive $$$. If you where in the service $$$. If you purchase Carnival stock you will receive $$$ every time you cruise. If you cruised with Princess on your 21st Cruise you will receive $$$. Now if you go on a cruise with my wife it will be all gone in minutes...:):):)

Sometimes it's just the luck of the draw! I know of one case where a couple had $1550 of OBC on a Panama Canal cruise. Each one had $250 of Veterans Benefit, $100 Future Cruise OBC, and $300 OBC through an sales promotion for a total of $1300 plus another $250 Stockholder's Benefit for a grand total of $1550 OBC. That's probably not a record, but it's sure a good start! ;p

Where does it show in your Personalizer if an OBC is refundable or not?
