pinnacle (finally)

We will earn the points during our next cruise to turn pinnacle.

On our last cruise, the C&A ambassador said they would touch base with us on the first few days of this next cruise, to coordinate the presentation of the block, and all that good stuff.

But I read on another thread, that now it does not happen during the cruise you turn pinnacle, but on the cruise after.

Recent experience - just curious.  Looking forward to the internet perk.

I've also heard it's not a given but up to that LA on that ship. I would contact the LA the first day of the cruise. To introduce ourselves and ask the question. Never hurts to ask. Good luck and hope it all works out in your favor. Congratulations.

CONGRATS!!  I also think you will be honored on the cruise where you reach Pinnacle.  As davekathy said above, just check in with the LA when you board.

We are getting to where Pinnacle may be attainable in the next few years.  I'm beginning to think of booking JS cabins to get there, or going with my friend more (since I only pay for one instead of two people), or even solo cruising somewhere Mr. pcur isn't interested in going.  I can get double points for solo cruising.

Congrats on joining the Pinnacle Club.

As others have said, it is sort of up to the LA on the ship when you get the 700 points.

What ship is that?

When do you get the 700th point? If near the beginning of the cruise, you might get some of the extras on

that cruise. If near the end, it might not be until the next cruise.

For internet, on some ships, you get the code when you check in on shore before boarding. On other ships, it is in a letter from the Concierge that is in your cabin.

On some ships, you will be invited to the cocktail party and/or lunch on the 700th cruise, on some, not until the next cruise. Some ships have a nice dinner, some do not. All again depending on the LA and that person's supervisors.

When you are brought up to take the picture, you are handed a replica of the stratum. You will notice it is made of plastic and easy to hold and not drop or break. The real one in crystal is much heavier, and will be sent to

you, along with the certificate and directions to get your free cruise credit.

I have sailed with other Pinnacles that did not realize that they were also to receive the regular "every 70 points" crystal block. You also get this--AS WELL AS the crystal stratum that will be sent to you. Some LA's will tell you this is not true, but I assure you that they are incorrect. Do not let them ship that to you, as you will not receive it. The block is delivered to your cabin--not given to you at the Top Tier event.

Again, welcome to our club.

Welcome to the Club. Most of the smaller ships do it up quite well. When we made it on the Rhapsody. We got to eat lunch with the officer in Chops.  Got a great picture with the captain presenting the stratum (which they take back). But didn't get the internet upgrade or the crystal block.  I don't like the way they do it on the Oasis class ships at the top of the stairs leading to the Aqua Theater.

Sorry to say but rules say you are recognized on the cruise you earn 700 but do not receive any of the benefits until your next cruise. You might get lucky and be on a ship where the LA does not follow the rules. Good luck and congratulations.

Congratulations!  You're my role model,  but I don't anticipate ever reaching that level. I'm just trying to make it to Diamond +.  Enjoy your trip. I hope that they give you your block. You've earned it.

How we did it was to choose a b2b cruise in a GS.  We were recognized on the first leg but still had all the suite bennies so it didn’t matter.   😎

RECENT EXPERIENCE!! Just turned Pinnacle on the HALLOWEEN Brilliance of the Seas Sailing! Here is what happened:

- we were back to back to 10/29 cruise included the "turn" to 700 points. At end of this cruise we had 703 points.

- the 11/3 sailing was officially after we reached Pinnacle.

On the "turning cruise" we contacted the Loyalty ambassador. On the AM top tier of this sailing on actual halloween, everyone but Captain and Joao were   dressed up for Halloween so it was a pretty crazy   pinnacle presentation for us

We got a bottle of the usual "free" champagne, an amazingly chocolate cake and the photo with the captain and officers and a folio to put the picture in and a "you have reached pinnacle" certificate signed by captain and hotel manager Adrian. It was really nicely done.  There was a sample  stratum which Steve is holding.  We did not sit down in the Brilliance colony club with the reserved for pinnacle guests before the event but walked down when LA Joao Luiz Crivelente.   from       Brazil called us. Chris Brown from Down Under (prior: voyager) was the CD.

Joao took down all the details for what we wanted on our gold PC pin and sure enough - sent the order in Nov 4 - the Day after this cruise finished.I put a picture of the photo with some mark ups in this post.

ON THE NEXT CRUISE as fully ratified Pinnacle Club members (11/3 5 day sailling)
For the back to back  - At Tampa you get escorted off the ship to customs and on the way back you get your new badge. It was still the D+ badge, but Joao had specially made the gold PINNACLE CLUB on for us and met us at the ship before we got back on and handed it to us. It was well done. Then he had to fiddle in the system to give us the most valuable benefit for us: FREE SURF AND STREAM INTENET - one for each of us. That is one of  the best  benefit  upgrade from D + to Pinnacle to be honest, as the ships we normally sail on do not have coastal kitchen or any pinnacle not D+ lounges (like Mariner - pinnacle and suites are segregated as a cut above lounge). The other is on Brilliance the COncierge lounge manager can get you off the ship absolutely first if you are carry off. Bertie Almeida did a super job with that at the end of 11/3 cruise.

We got the 700 points crystal block on this cruise AFTER reaching pinnacle. Even though the log in to RC site for our C&A number didn't show pinnacle yet they got it delivered to the cabin. Also we got invited to the "pinnacle and suite party"   It was only a 5 day cruise so there might be invites to other things on other ships.

WHAT WE HAVE DONE SINCE:
It is not so positive here. We called the C& A number and found out that today, 15 days after Joao's pin order went in - nothing has happened, they have no update as to when they will ship and we will get 1) the pins 2) and the "kit" which includes whom to call for that free (we pick 7 night caribbean lowest price balcony cruise on some ship or you get a $2400 credit some how) and 3) the  stratum for your mantel.    When you read the restrictions on the "free cruise" I have my doubts as to whether we will ever realize this "benefit" . The small print says Royal can pick the cruise and cabin! Empress and new ships and holiday sailings are excluded per the small print. Some other group (realization group I think the C&A person called it - I was not sure) handles all the details and they only give out their info in this KIT. Mystery abounds.

Happy Turkey day everyone.

PS I never can find where to change the signature so it will probably never say pinnacle in the boards. It doesn't seem to be under settings!

thank you to everyone for your thoughtful answers.  With my magical thinking, I assumed on THE day, that I would get all the perks.  Good to know that won't happen until the next cruise, and I can plan accordingly.

Not what I’ve read at all. Pinnacle is the only level where you are recognized on the cruise where you turn, not after. Congratulations!

We turned Pinnacle on the Symphony of the Seas TransAtlantic from Barcelona Spain to Miami and we were given Pinnacle status from Day 1 on that crossing. We got our certificate in a Crossing book plus many free pictures, lunch in the dinning room first day. We only got the crystal block not the Stratum block. Our certificate for the free 7 day cruise is still to come along with our name tags which they said would take 6 weeks to get to our home. We had many pluses to make turning Pinnacle on this cruise so special.

Congratulations on making Pinnacle.  We made it on the Radiance, and were given full status during that entire cruise (including free internet).

I would not worry about what you read on the certificate,  you can use it for pretty much anything except Christmas and NYE.

You should try and use it on the Symphony President's cruise/50th birthday party

This is such a nice post! We just today Nov 24 (4 days after the info was submitted to the RCI Pinnacle Fulfilment desk!) - the "PLITH" and the certificate. BUT WE DID NOT GET THE NAME TAGS! Could anyone comment as to whether those come separately or did they miss it. It was a big enough box for everything but the tags were not in there.

Thanks. Happy Holidays all!

Our name tags came 6 weeks later. They arrived in a paper mailing envelope.

Our name tags came separately 2 months later. We received the stratum and cruise certificate one month earlier.
