Ugh. I just can't figure out the new search function so please help me answer this question.

If I own at least 100 shares of NCL stock will I get $100 onboard credit? That is what a fellow

cruiser told me. How do you prove you have the shares? Thanks.

yes, how you prove it is by signing onto the share holders thread on NCL.com You will to send a copy with your last month's report from your investment company: just the part that lists NCL. You will hear back in a matter of hours or days

I did that, never heard back from them, but the OBC showed up on the cruise summary.

Not to take the wind out of sailing (cruising) - that OBC as with all other OBCs that are not paid by the guest

can not be used to pay for the DSC.

Also read recently here something about that OBC can't be used in conjunction with some perks - promos -

upgrading ? - something about double dipping the system - looking back I can't find it right now ?

Still yet a $100 is a hundred dollars off of each cruise one takes on NCL.

At the least it is a sort of non-taxable dividend on stock that NCL does not currently pay.

Can be used to pay for a CruiseNext certificate though which is all I use it for.

the OBC is non-refundable but can be used ship wide for pretty much everything. drinks at a bar, pictures at photo gallery, purchase things at gift shop, purchase shore excursions

No issue getting Shareholder Benefit with the Take 6 promotions, Latitudes OBC, Double points.

Of course it can't be used for that. It is money they are giving us from the company so it wouldn't make sense they would let us use if for DSC. The actually $100 isn't really going to cost them anything. We usually use the money in the gift shop or toward tours.

It can also be used in the casino minus a 3% fee ($100 - $3=$97). I have done that many times. Used it as cash in the port. OK used it in the casino too 🙂

What if i book Solo a Studio? Do i get the full OBC?

That's a great question because the T&Cs clearly state that a single travelling will get full OBC if they pay 200% of applicable fare ..... that is not what a Studio pays.

Send an email to ShareholderBenefit@ncl.com for an accurate and official answer.

Depends how long you keep them for 😉

Ideal time now, buy them, get credit, sell them on the next rise.
