Ok, Plan B. you have a ship with close to 4000 isolated from the rest of the world. Right now when I go to the official web page I get Drinks, Wi-Fi & Gratuities included. Sorry but and however. Its time to let all informed. Princess please,,, No I am not dissing you. I am clear your lack or response to the Aisa issues needs a focus you are not doing today. Your operation is not at issue. Your team back at corporate, safe from the drama seems lacking of compassion. Probably me. However,, wake up ,,,, You can do better. Marketing Team saying nothing is your position? Ok,, Thanks,,, 🙂

I just booked the ship that is quarantined. Princess is doing everything humanly possible to keep their passengers safe. They've comped everything and are paying for things that have been missed or caused cancellation fees. They are allowing passengers to use the phones and internet free of charge. They've expanded the tv and movie options to keep people occupied. Are you suggesting because they are having an issue with 1 ship we shouldn't be booking other cruises or running sales? This promo started back in December.

There's a pretty obvious notice at the top of their consumer webpage https://www.princess.com/news/notices_and_advisories/ with links to very detailed information on their response. There's even a personal video message from Jan Schwartz, President of Princess cruises. Not sure how much higher up the corporate ladder you can go, except to the Chairman of Carnival Corp..

I understand that the Diamond Princess is quarantined, but I am not sure what this entails.  From my past experience, it means that the ship is not allowed normal interaction with the rest of the world -- the passengers and crew are not allowed off the ship or to have physical interactions with people in port or with other ships except under carefully controlled circumstances.  If there is a problem with rodent-carried disease, the ship might not be allowed to approach shore.

However, I have seen nothing about the passengers themselves being in quarantine.  Are all passengers confined to their cabins except for limited respites?  If I were on the Diamond at this time, could I go to the pool, the sauna, the buffet, etc?  Are there on-going public gatherings?

They are confined to cabins and balconies only. Those in inside cabins are allowed out for 1hour a day and must wear masks and stay 3 feet away from each other

Don't really understand your post.  I read the latest update on the Princess website everyday.  It is really easy to find.  Give it a try.

OK, since you've been following this every day, you are up to speed on how they plan to continue to do business without exposing future customers to Coronavirus.    Explain to me details around how they will handle my situation and what is going to happen based on what they have posted

I am scheduled to depart Hong Kong on May 10th on an 8 day cruise ending in Singapore.  But if you have been in Hong Kong at any point in the 14 days prior to your cruise, you will be denied boarding.

How do I board my cruise departing from Hong Kong if I can't be in Hong Kong?   Please go re-read what Princess has posted and explain to me how this is all going to work.

They themselves don't have an answer so I am not sure they really know how to handle the situation and are overwhelmed by the Diamond quarantine.

Thanks in advance

Your cruise is still 3 months away. No-one, not even the medical experts, know what will be happening with coronavirus that far out, as the situation keeps changing daily. The cruise lines are doing what they can, based on what is known about the coronavirus, which even the medical specialist dealing with it don't have all the answers.

However, closer to time, when there is a clearer picture on what is happening with the virus, if there is still an issue, princess would move the boarding location to another port.

Yeah, to Singapore....   Which has more cases of Coronavirus than Hong Kong.

I think the previous post answered the question quite well.  No one can predict the future.  We can, however, react quickly to the latest news and attempt to make good decisions.
