'It is not over until the fat lady sings.'   Have you not heard that term?

I think the Mob on the Hill are organizing that......    But that ran into an issue with discrimination of thin people... so a royal commission was called....   then a grant of given...

then it all got too hard.....   and then the Australian Opera Company  suggested a gentleman in a fat suit with a wig...... after which is all went down hill.......

So summing up.... no Fat Lady is going to sing   or dance for that matter......

The big question who took the bat and ball and went home ???

Will this be a chance to get cruising back up and running for the 21/22 cruise season? 🤞 A decision on restarting is rumoured to be imminent.

On Wednesday, the Biosecurity Amendment (Enhanced Risk Management) Bill 2021 is planned to be introduced into the House of Representatives. Parliament ends on this Thursday, and it is not planning to sit again until the 22rd of November. The proposed changes are detailed here, if you have a few minutes to waste. 😉 Source Bill

Things are not looking good for a re-start to cruising. To hard for Scotty from Marketing. Labor will have to get it sorted.🤞 Therefore, no cruising until after the Federal election in May. October 22 is by bet.

The Biosecurity Amendment (Enhanced Risk Management) Bill 202 is before the Senate, but the senate is currently in recess until 08 Feb, when it is scheduled to sit for just three days. 😵 The next opportunity will be the two-day budget sitting, scheduled for 29-30 Mar. Further complicating the issue is the likelihood a federal election will be called, which must take place no later than 21 May - and it’s presumed no legislation could pass during the caretaker period after it is announced. If labour gets in the bureaucrats will still stop cruising.

There’s another  variant  predicted by next cruise season and it will be panic stations again.

Even Taiwan has started cruises for their coming season. They started operating 18 months ago without any major incident.

Why can’t we ?

Bureaucrats can't stop or start anything, they don't make the laws. It's already stopped anyway. And there's no indication from the present mob in charge that they  will allow it to start again anytime soon.

Think by the time cruising starts again the insurance will be unafordable as we both will have turned 80 and bang goes our credit card insurance to boot.

So glad we started traveling when we did and have seen all the bucket list countries we had on our list and we had just settled in to cruising,

Ah well

Cheers Carole
