I hope you are wrong too - for P&O Aus’s sake if no other reason - because they only cruise from here 🥺

The pando oz ships might have to work in other regions, med, uk, usa.

Same here I’m an expert now at cancelling flights, hotels and taxis.

To answer the first post here I am sorry to predict there will be no cruising from Australia until early 2023.

Hope I am wrong.

Cheers Carole

I read something that if next season doesn’t happen, which I doubt it will.

Some of our ships MAY operate out of Dubai?

P&O Australia/Dubai. ???

As long as it’s not to much paper work ,I would be interested.

We sailed with the flu, we sailed with norovirus.

Once we get covid down to the dangerousness of diseases like those, we'll be sailing.

Agreed. Eventually COVID will probably mutate to be more like our seasonal flu. Being vaccinated doesn't always prevent you from catching it, but it usually results in a less severe form of the illness.

If everyone is going to catch the Omnicron virus, as Hazzard said....then no one can cruise?

If everyone is going to get it why in Gods name are they opening and closing borders and masking up now we are all like pin cushions ?

Let us try to “keep calm and carry on”catch the damn thing and move along. The sooner we all get it the sooner we can get back to our “new normal”

Cheers Carole

Because the idea is to let us all catch covid over time without filling up the hospitals.

If the hospital beds fill up with covid patients, then people without covid related illnesses who should be in those beds, will die.

It's like tapping the brakes on a car going down a steep hill. You don't want to go too fast or too slow, but you do want to manage the speed.

It would be something different, lots of history.

There’s some weird laws though.
If you are in a bedroom with a woman that isn’t your wife, sister or mother you can get into big trouble. Not to mention drunk in a public place.

I don’t know how the average P&O passengers would fair in a country like that.

Does it matter if the woman is your wife but not your sister or mother.

UAE is an Islamic Theocracy so they have pretty strict moral standards though I don't know any place that likes to have drunk people in public😜. P&O is just going to have to shelve the booze cruises for that itinerary😂,maybe target a more family friendly demographic, UAE would like that.

Gowings now that’s name from the past, someone will have to start a thread on all the old department stores.

Back to cruising.

Sounds like it’s really starting to hit the fan in the Caribbean .

Theres reports of no entertainment,no dining ,no service ,fend for your self.
It sounds like because they are putting infected staff off the ships .The ships have a limited crew and no service.

We May never get any ships back here because they have gone broke.

Senator Blumenthal needs to take a reality pill. With Covid rampaging through the US including his own state, Connecticut, he still thinks cruise ships are petri dishes? How does he think Covid is getting on the ships?

Hopefully his comments won't fan the anti-cruiseship flames too high. Unfortunately you can't fix stupid.🤬🤬🤬
