Royal Caribbean Cruisers -- How Are Things Where You Are? (was "Routine" 😁 day in lockdown... how was yours?)

How is Leonard ?

Leonard is doing well. Still adjusting to the new surroundings.  Still a bit skitterish, some of the "house sounds"  startle him. Things like the window A/C's or downstairs dehumidifier cycling in and out. The boiler, which is also our hot water heater in addition to providing winter time heat, kicks in every few hours will send him running into his mommy's bedroom. Hope he gets used to it by the time cold weather sets in as it will be kicking in a lot more.  Which reminds me, got to order home heating oil now before prices start to go up.

The only real "problem" is he likes to claw furniture despite having several scratching pads & towers. I'm told there is a spray thar can be used to discourage him. But its not a big problem just yet.

Also, he's happy he is no longer the new kid on the block now that @Lionesss Lizzy and @Gardener5b  Golden Retriever & Bassett Hound have joined the thread.

Leonard would like to welcome them personally but he's busy chasing a moth.  At least he's earning his keep by keeping the house insect free. Last night,  he brought me a spider as a gift.

@reallyitsmemaWe all went to the same places, maybe suites were separate but we were so early it didn’t really matter.  There were no lines for checkin.  All seven of us, three cabins, were checked in  and done almost at the same time.  We sat in about the sixth row to wait and moved right along when they announced we could board.

We were on Cococay for about 3 hrs.  It's a hot one today.   Blow up noodles got a lot of use.

I had a problem at the snack shack.  I order the shack crispy chicken sandwich and had a couple of bites then realized it was RAW chicken!!  I saw an officer and showed him.  He immediately showed Chef.

Within a matter of minutes I had 2 officers and Chef come over to our loungers.   Apologizing over and over again.  Then took our cabin info and mdr info.  Sure hope I don't get sick!!

We just got back on boat and I'm going to have some alcohol to kill any germs in my belly.

Love the background view.  And a similar tower like those will be in Leonard's future.

Glad you got the mistake (RAW), since I was wondering "what's wrong with a crispy chicken sandwich being actually.... chicken" ☹️ Is my English at fault again????

Hopefully there will be a free bottle(s) of wine coming your way soon to help kill any of those germs.

EDIT: Or better yet, complimentary specialty dining.

It is truly amazing what you can learn when you read and follow directions.  Now yesterday when I picked up Lizzy I had to sign a bunch of forms before they would release her to me.

To begin with prior to picking her up yesterday, we had gone this past Saturday to pay her fee. We did not want anyone else to take her in the mean time even though I had a verbal agreement.

So in all the excitement. Yup. Just initialed and sign on every underscores and dashed line.  Too excited to read.

So —- the contract is very complete. And I must give them credit.

To begin with. I assumed her birthday wrong. It was listed on one paper but when you read further it was the day she was rescued to the facility.

Lizzy’s birthday is June 16, 2022.
AWL. (Animal welfare league) covers all initial well care to their adoptable pets

For the adoption fee of $50.
Lizzy came to us

Fixed

Micro chipped

All lab work done

Initial immunization

Flea drops

Nails clipped.

And in our contract to not void it.

We must establish a vet within 30 days

No refunds no returns if it does not work out only returnable if at her 30 day visit the vet finds something significant with her health.

We agreed she would be a sole completely spoiled in door cat.

We agreed we cannot sell her for profit.

Free 30 day pet insurance.
( yup smart on their part). $$$$ after 30 days.

Here’  Lizzy becoming more social

They are having a great time, thanks for asking.  The other night we saw Ronn Lucas and the little one laughed at everything he did.  I caught my daughter smiling also which was really nice😁

Something about the name ,very reliable at finding insects that are not invited.

Feel better,Debbie and do not be surprised if you find a dish of strawberries in your cabin tonight. That seems to be the norm for everyone who reports a problem.

Yikes!  Will be interesting to see what they do.  Guessing a bottle delivered to your cabin.

I am glad they are having a good time.  I just hope that Ronn Lucas is NOT on Oasis in October!

@HBE4They sure have the Cat Bird's view of the back yard and mountains behind the house. The back yard slopes down compared to the front of the house. The front porch still has 6 steps to get into the main level where the front door is. Under the main level is a  walk out basement under that sunroom where the cat trees are.

We have our hot tub below the sunroom, but not under the floor of the sunroom, it's out about 3ft out so we can look over head of the hot tub and see the stars at night. No covering of any kind over the hot tub blocking our view.

It's taken me a few days to catch up after my cruise. My daughters and I sailed on VV Scarlett Lady and had a great time. I went with an open mind and was very pleasantly surprised. The food was amazing, loved the entertainment and there was enough that we were never bored. Missed some things because they were at the same time and choices had to be made.

We don't cruise in the summer because of the crowds, kids and heat. Bimini was beautiful but so hot. I do love kids, I have 3 and we always cruised with them, but the entire atmosphere changes when there are none on the ship.

I can't compare or complain about the cabin as we cruise  RC in suites and on Virgin I had a balcony to myself. Plenty of storage, but the bathroom is small. They took up most of the space with a nice size shower with rain head shower.

I have two favorites, with the first being the crew. They seem to love their job and being able to be themselves. Lots of colorful hair, tattoos, piercings and a few speedos and thongs.

As simple as it sounds my absolute favorite was the hammock on the balcony! It was hot but I took my fan out and was able to nap.

I did book another cruise while onboard.

Nice review, after we have the cruise we have booked now with Royal. Our next cruise after that will surely be on Virgin Voyages. It's time for a change from Royal.

Any Food pics and the hammock on the balcony, what category cabin did you have?

I'm not sure I ever mentioned this but Thor has to be the coolest pet name ever.

Next pet I have will be named Thor, even if its just a goldfish. 😃

Thanks!

He’s my son’s dog, but my Dad had a German Shepherd named Thor, so when James leaned that, Thor had to be Thor.

The cats are hoping that he’ll be gone soon, but not until Christmas. He’s actually a really nice dog, but the cats don’t think there is any such thing.

Are you also part Kangaroo?  I think "my" Leonard might be as  he has the ability to be completely stationary & sitting still one second, then launch himself 5 - 6 feet into the air. Is that a normal cat thing?

Remember the aforementioned moth chase? I found it very entertaining until the moth flew in front of my face just as Leonard was launching into "attack mode". I'm 6'2" and we were face to face, his paws swinging away with claws extended. He also has the dexterity to twist himself out of the way at the last millisecond so we did not collide. He might be part bat as well.

The moth escaped unharmed. For now.

How does that happen? That is disgusting and a health hazzard. Where is the quality control?
