My Uber driver, Steve who lived next door to me and was of closest friends growing up.

Looks like a great time.  Enjoy!

Now tell us, how easy was it for you to slide in and out of that Uber?

It is, and it's too short... Today is the last day 😢

Great video, Dani.   That time is too short.   Hope you had an enjoyable time with family.

I got Shringrix when I was about 58 and I'm now 64.  From what I've read, there may be a booster as new data comes out as the protection lasts 7-10 years.   I haven't seen anything that says you can't get the vaccine again later.  I reacted to both shots with lethargy and a sore arm.  I felt like I had the flu for 24 hours with each shot.

I'll live vicariously through all y'all on the shingles front.... I never had Chicken Pox growing up, and got vaccinated about twenty years ago, so I don't ever have to worry about shingles.

And just as importantly,  how do 5 guys fit on there? 😄

They arrived Friday afternoon and left Monday night on what used to be a cheap Allegiant direct flight.  Not so cheap anymore.

Cheap flights are almost impossible to find anymore.  I know the ones we booked this summer are much higher.

I was shocked when my son told me that they looked into flights for his in-laws to fly from China.  They were looking at 15k per person, round trip in economy.

I actually did pretty good but I needed to be careful not to scuff anything. Sat in butt first then lifted each leg in one at a time. I must have looked like a crippled man 😀

You're one of the few people I know who didn't have chickenpox.  I had them at age 6 and my DH was prob about 6-7.  Heck, my sons who are 40 and 38 had them when they were 7 and 4.  7 year old brought them home from first grade.  My oldest son had shingles in his senior year of college (stress induced trying to get everything done on time) yet no Dr will give him the vaccine as he's "too young".  My other DIL has health issues so her Dr gave it to her when she was 35.

Meantime, DS1 tried to "repair" the video for the ".mov" challenged 😉

I had just downloaded the video and noticed this one.  Glad you got it "repaired".

I love this!  It's fun to enjoy life with grandkids!  Learning to make pasta will stay with them forever.

I was remembering the clothes hanger trick the other day.  Wish I would of tried it.  I am not cooking like I used to anymore.

Next cruise we are taking while here in Southport, NC we will be taking our car 🙂 🙂 . We are going to taking the Fort Fisher Ferry from Southport to Fort Fisher. We are going to the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher  while there.

Then we will travel thru the island to Kure Beach, Wilmington Beach, Carolina Beach, Sea Breeze, Wrightsville Beach, Top Sail Beach, Surf City.

Cost is $7.00 per car one way. We will be driving back home, only taking the ferry the one way. Takes about 25 minutes to get there by ferry, if going by land to the aquarium ir would be an hour and 15 minute drive.

Thank you everyone for your kind words about my grandsons and their friends.  ❤️

They all arrived back here and stayed in the backyard until almost 1:00 a.m.  I never heard a sound when they left this morning.  They all are such good friends as well as really good kids!
