Sorry to hear you were impacted by Helene, hoping you get your power back soon and are able to get home.

Amazing the impacts by Helene so far from ocean.  We lost power for 10 days after Sandy, when we were in NJ, as did many others for longer.  Everything was closed, I went to work and showered at the gym since they had generators.

The pictures I have seen from Asheville and the surrounding areas are heartbreaking.  We were looking at heading that way next month for a few days, will be looking elsewhere.

Prayers for all impacted by Helene from Florida up through Georgia, SC, NC and Tennesse.

Turns out that Dave has a conference the first week in November in Asheville at the Grove Park Inn so he asked me to come along.  We have stayed there once before so I was glad to accept.  Hoping the conference won't be cancelled and things are better by then.  We will be flying to Greenville, SC so driving up from the south.  🙏

I just read that Kris Kristoffersen passed away peacefully at his home yesterday at 88 yrs old.   May he RIP🙏

In my book, the greatest songwriter ever.

What kind of genius mind do you possess to have "Freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose" circling around waiting to come out?

Also, "Sunday Mornin' Comin' Down" is one of the greatest songs of all-time.

A young lady that checked us in asked which park we were going to visit.  Sharon explained that I can no longer handle the rides and said we might go to Boardwalk.   This morning we were notified that a package was at the front desk for  us.  Sharon went down and found out the young lady gifted us the following.   Sharon teared up when she saw it and gave her a big hug.  To the right are bars of chocolate 🍫

For lunch we went next door to Art of Imagination. Lots of cool pictures hanging on the wall.

There is a cool light hanging at the entry.

That is why my family and friends that are Disney cast members are so special, they enjoy interacting with their guests.

Have a great time on the Utopia and enjoy many magical moments 😀

Oops, Mackinac not Mackinaw.  I should pay better attention to where I’m going 🤪

Wait till I totally confuse you when I tell you how to properly pronounce both spellings! 🙃

I have friends who are "doing the Great Loop" in their boat (from Florida, up the east coast, up rivers and through the Great Lakes, then down rivers through the Midwest until they reach the Gulf and back to their starting point in Florida). I met up with them when they were in Saugatuck-Douglas (Lake Michigan) this summer.

I had her head spinning when I explained that the island is Mackinac Island, and the city on the mainland is Mackinaw City, and the fort on Mackinac Island is Fort Mackinac, but the fort in Mackinaw City is Fort Michilimackinac.

Between the French-Canadian influence and the Native American influence, Michigan is full of all kinds of names that nobody can pronounce.  (Literally nobody can pronounce Sault Ste. Marie correctly the first time, b/c it doesn't sound like it's spelled in either English *or* French!!!)

I hope you enjoy our visit... the leaves should be just about ready when you're up there.  If you get a chance, take a drive along the Tunnel of Trees Scenic Heritage Route between Mackinac/Mackinaw and Traverse City. It's a wonderful drive.

@dani negreanu Dani, all of your (DH's) pictures are a feast for the eyes.

I fear what will come next for Israel.  Praying for safety for all.

@firefly333 Jane, I know you'll be getting off Harmony in Galveston on Nov. 3.  Just a shout out that there is a large biker rally that weekend that might impact traffic.

@grapau27 Graham, echoing what @Luckynana Maryann posted.  You and Pauline are a lovely couple!

Thank you Bonnie @BonTexasNY and Maryann @Luckynana for your nice comments.

I hope you're enjoying our glorious weather as I am.  Sunny and high 80s, very low 90s for at least the next 8 days.

No more hurricanes anywhere, mother nature, please!!

Thanks George but I don’t know how much more I can take watching the Chiefs. They make my blood pressure go through the roof. Losing Rice ((WR) is really going to hurt them. Injuries have really been a problem. Nice to see Hunt come back a produce.

Sorry about the Bills I would never have predicted that score.

At least you won at poker! That always makes for a good day.

Ha, you’re talking to a gal who lives in RI where we have quahogs, pronounced

KO-hogs by most locals as well as a village named Quonochontaug which I still don’t know how to pronounce after living here for more than 50 years 😂!

I think I am going to fire the deer and the squirrels.   They are not keeping up with my supply of acorns.

Supply from just this week, from my back yard.

The season has arrived.

I can’t tell you how many I have bagged up. I don’t ever remember getting this many in one season. I have to lawn sweep the artificial grass every day as the dogs try to eat the acorns and the can be toxic to them.

Made it on board!  With my wheelchair,  they had us go up a different ramp to enter.  Here was my 1st view.

We went to the Windjammer.   I really didn't care for the cold lobster.

Shrimp was good.

The accessible room is nice.

It seems busier than normal but probably because we didn't arrive until noon.  We could not find a table in the Windjammer but an officer found us one in the closed back area.
