I finished “The Defeated” the other day.  It was a great show.  I started watching “Clickbait” also on Netflix yesterday.  I’ve see two episodes so far and it’s a great show.  I would be further along with the series if I didn’t keep getting dragged into watching all the various press briefings about the messed up *****$how dominating the news. 😤

Clickbait is great.

For years I have teased our 2 sons we arent their parents, my parents and brother are blondes, Eric is a dirty blonde that has turned to a light brown as he got older but his brother and mother are blondes.  Our oldest son is medium brown and our youngest son is very dark brown, almost black hair, like my grandmother.

Will be curious to see if our grandchildren will be blondes like most of our family.  Wont know for awhile as neither of them plan on having kids anytime soon.

We have married friends, both brown hair.  They have 3 children, one brunette, one redhead and one blond.  The three are now married with kids of their own.  All kids have brown hair.  Go figure.

Anyone else having problems posting?  I just had a second post disappear after clicking on Submit Reply.

I have had it multiple times over the last week or so. I’m not thrilled when time invested is lost when you hit submit.

You never know what you’re going to get. Both of our  twin granddaughters have brown hair and brown eyes. So do their husbands.
one has two little boys, a brown haired, brown eyed one, and his little brother has blonde hair and blue eyes, like his grandfather.
The other twin has a baby girl with blue eyes and a shiny bald head.
Genetics is very confusing!

Katz's slices their pastrami much thicker than I like but I ate every crumb with pure joy.

Well, look what we have here...Katz's Deli Pastrami Sandwich......so good.  Every crumb was eaten.

This was our first trip to New York City, November 2011.  Our high school marching band got selected to participate in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.  Son was the Drum Major for the band.  What an incredible honor for the students.  It was a fantastic trip and experience to NYC.  Loved every minute of it.

Here are a few of the cars that caught my eye on the weekend.

When the rain hit all the convertibles raised their tops.

I used to love the whole experience of eating at Carnegie Deli.
Somehow, I’ve gotten too old to eat a sandwich like that. Too much of a muchness!

I’ve become my grandmother!

The hotel we always stay at the Michelanglelo was across the street from stage deli and only a couple of blocks from Carnegie , I went there as late as 1am and place was still crowded . Wife loves the pickles they and all Jewish delis in New York have.

Time for a little food related items.

One owner decided their down force wing was the right height to dine from. Fries anyone?

I tried this. I was a lightly fried potatoes that had been sliced in one solid continuous piece. Think like how an apple is peeled, but the entire thing.

It was delicious, but definitely not an item one would want to eat regularly.

Pretty ingenious.

For me that had been a come and go issue, and it has been hit or miss for a while.

It was happening to me over the weekend.     Yesterday and today I am back to not staying logged in.

I wonder if the lost posting issue is related to how I handle replies to others.  Whenever I have a lot of posts to catch up with, I'll get fully caught up before doing any quoting/replying.  Instead of having to remember where that post was that I wanted to quote, I right-click on the browser tab and select Duplicate tab.  This leaves one tab with my to be quoted post all queued up, and I continue reading from the new tab.  I repeat for every to be quoted post, which leaves me with multiple tabs of this thread open, each looking at a quotable post.

I've never had problems with this before but am now wondering if quoting a post from a previous page is part of the problem.  I say this because when a post disappears after submitting, I'm left at the bottom of the page where to quoted post was, rather than at the end of the thread.  I hope I didn't confuse everyone with that explanation.

I may just have to try it.  No need to knock something we haven’t tried.  I will let you know.  Some of the other items that I tried have been good.
separate from the surprise package, the fresh peaches we picked up on the way in are great!  I was so looking forward to them and they have no disappointed.

They looked delicious!!  🙂   Just teasing you on the Cauliflower puffs...I really like them...Bucky turns up his nose.  😉

Last night Owen and his team had a exhibition game before the season ending tournament this weekend. It is a double loss knockout this weekend.

Last night they played at the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame. They won, so hopefully it continues on this weekend.

Owen made a few big catches in the outfield. He was on first for the final inning and caught the pop fly that ended the game.

However, the play before he ran 60’ and slid to almost catch a pop fly in front of their dugout. Think Kevin Pillar type action. The price paid is below.

After the slide he said there was a bit of trash talk from the other team’s dugout. He followed that with, “making the final out catch was that much better”.

Betty White is a national treasure.  Here's a link to her "Dusty Muffin" skit from Saturday Night Live.  I won't embed the actual video here because some may not appreciate this humor.

OMG!  Thanks for the link!  I laughed big time on that one, and agree.  Adore Betty White.  Had to copy the link and send to Cousin and Sister.  😄 😄

We had one in Jax called Leb’s till the end of the 60’s. Orlando had Ronnie’s.

Always pickles and sauerkraut on the table like other restaurants had a little vase with flowers. So good!

That's what I have also been doing... my "investment" being "heavier" since I'm also looking for the right word, using synonyms, translations, etc. 😉
