Yummmm.  What variety of apple are you growing?

Not exactly sure this tree was here when we bought the the house 20 months ago. All previous owner said they were a good cooking apple and not to pick them until Labor day when then will be at their sweetest.

Kind of like a Granny Smith if I was going to guess or something close to that.

I was just there on Tuesday, for two cavities. One on the bottom right and upper left jaw. Nothing beats the flavour of tooth dust in the back on your throat. Ugh.

Tasted that same tooth dust on Tuesday.  Broke a tooth (filling that was the back third of the tooth sheared off) on our Baltic cruise and had a scheduled appointment for a cleaning the day after we got back and he was able to fix it then.  Glad it didn't hurt as I really didn't want to deal with it in one of the Baltic ports.

An excellent whirlwind vacation … A very good time is had by all.

Entertaining the grandsons in the kiddie pool.

A Cypriotic evening with traditional dances. Of course I joined in, and one of the dancers decided to dance with me…

Maybe try the gas next time. 🤔

Tried that before helped a tiny bit. My dentist doesn't do gas any more. I need to find out why.

Our friend/neighbor had his 51st birthday today.  He and his wife celebrate their birthday weeks, not just the specific day.  Amongst the many activities this week, they chartered a local catamaran last night for a sunset cruise and invited a few friends.

Looks like you had a great time. So pretty to be out on the water.

Sorry to hear you are still testing positive.    Do you still feel ill?

Eric got his booster in last couple of weeks.  I plan on waiting until new and improved booster is available in October (or whenever actually arrives).   Hopefully we are all protected for our Oasis sailing this Sunday.

Still feels like head cold with severe congestion. Not as tired as i was last week.

Thinking about our time on Oasis we probably made a big mistake at the very start of the cruise. When we opened the cabinet where the safe is all of the shelves had towel animals on them. I took them all out and placed on the bed and my granddaughter liked the 2 small ones and took them to her room next door. We showed them to the room steward and he said the family before us liked them and he forgot to take them out of the room. Maybe a Covid mistake? Who knows?

I enjoy the cleaning, Charlie does not.

on another note does anyone know when they have massage specials onboard?

I did my emed test tonight, negative.  Woot Woot!!

Eric is doing his tomorrow.

The best prices for spa are the first couple hours of boarding day, then port days.  You get 20% off for D or D+.   (Whenever I type that I feel like I'm typing a bra size🤣)

They usually won't combine that with a sale price.

On my way to work this morning there was a road block!!

2 turkeys chasing cars then standing in the road not letting cars by.   We tried beeping but they did not care so I got out and took pictures.  One ran alongside my door as i passed the other.   Guess i have to plan for this possible traffic jam in the future😁20220825_075337.thumb.jpg.f0a2bf4f6f2dae0e9ba7359ff21311f4.jpg20220825_075313.thumb.jpg.2b03d8bc23de9bee8505ab6799262808.jpg

Celebrity also has congee in the Buffet!

Huh.  Thanks for reminding me.  I just remembered the Princess congee from 20 years ago.

I had to go back to my 2009 Celebrity pictures to look up what I ate back then (also happened to be Alaska cruise) and sure enough, found a congee photo on a breakfast day. The Celebrity version is more standard and we just added a boil egg with it as you can see  it's not as elaborate as Princess allows you with their choice of condiments.

So while I was back at the photo album section, I found few pictures worth sharing from the "good old days of cruise life".

Doubtful if Celebrity still does this nowadays but back then on the one Glacier day, they had an elaborate "seafood lunch" setup in the MDR.

Not the best photo quality but digital photography 13 years ago isn't the same as now but we get the idea

Back before there was social media, people give you the evil eye when you try to take pictures of food displays.  Nowadays, nobody blinks an eye when all the cell phones are out and people updating their Instagram or Facebook pages

Besides this special lunch, they also had a "dessert extravaganza" at 11 PM on another night for people to indulge.

Thanks Debbie.  Happy you are negative.  We had to explain to our grandson that negative was a good thing.  He is extremely smart and gets upset if he is not perfect!   Good luck to Eric🤞

I remember when my doctor, looking at the x-ray of my hip, said the bone is very smooth. I perked up and asked, "Is that good?" 😀

He said, no, that is bad. It means the bone is rubbing in the socket. And that is why it is smooth. 😆

The neighbors here always try honking at the turkeys when they are blocking the road. I tried it once. It doesn't work. They don't associate a car horn noise with anything. They just look around and go back to pecking in the road. We sometimes have 20 or 30 of them in the road😀

At the least ones here, sometimes if you put the window down and yell at them, they will move. They are alarmed by people. But cars and car horns don't mean people to them 😀

I don’t know if this permitted so I’ll post the link in case it is .  I found this reference to an e-mail that is loaded with all kinds of information.

Sadly , the wife is now deceased .  They traveled extensively and did a fantastic job of keeping records.
