We decided to take a cruise for our 50th.anniversary.On the first sea day we were in the fitness center. She was on the treadmill and it began to accelerate .She could not stop it and there was nobody there to help her.

She screamed. I was on the other end .By the time I got to her she was on the ground face down and bleeding

That must have been frightening for you both Lenny.

Best wishes.

Graham.

I’m surprised they have the no other cats allowed clause. Did they say why they have it?

Completely agree. I think it’s odd they have that requirement. Having another cat so they can play with each other can’t be a bad thing.

I missed that. How would they even know if you got another one?

Big Brother??😉

@Lionesss, agree, weird clause....

.... and, speaking of new beginnings, very emotional day for us too -- eldest grandson's first day at school 😍

Oh wow.  That is a very special day.  Lovely photo. Hope he settles in well.
I remember dropping my eldest off.  Three of the mums  came back to our place and we sat in the garden, talked and ate until it was time to pick them up again 5hrs later. Great way to avert the tears and anxiety that parents & grandparents experience on that first day.

So my day, today started out with a walk at the lake at sunrise.

Then we took a drive to Lake Erie.  Yesterday was birthday #69 for one of Susan’s sisters, so we took her out for lunch.   She wanted to try Pier 6, which is a rooftop bar and grille overlooking the bay.

They had a limited menu for Sunday, so I ordered the breakfast tacos.  They were actually pretty good, with a little spice to them.

I tried a couple of their pier bliss drinks, which I kept referring to as pier blitz and pier runners. (Not sure where I picked up those terms).  The drink contained Citroen, triple sec, Malibu, pineapple juice, orange juice, sprite, and grenadine.  About 3/4 of the glass was alcohol based with the remainder juices.  They were tasty.

They were having a tall ships review at the pier.  I didn’t have any trouble finding this cruising duck.

Afterwards, we walked on the peninsula.  We did spot a couple monarch butterflies, which are now listed as endangered.

We even found one of their caterpillars on a milkweed, which is their source of food.

OOOPPPPSSSS

Initially we were going to adopt 2 kitties, so they can have each other, but with being retired, she will be our sole pet.

They could care less, if i wanted 3 I could have 3.

If I had dogs, we could have her.

I meant that she would be our sole princess.

We could have other pets, it was just my goofy way of wording.

Sorry for confusion

Last night I was okay.  Some minor stomach pains and quick trip to bathroom around 4 am but feel okay now.

We had lots of stars to look at from our balcony.  So beautiful, especially on a ship.

I'm going to wander around Nassau for a little bit this morning while Eric is staying onboard.

Nice sunny morning so far.16620356002173383072180087624065.thumb.jpg.18c8fc8a57a087cb8cd9eefb8a77208f.jpg

Now I see what I meant to be...............was not what it was meant to be.  The contract actually had in it that she would be a sole indoor cat.  Not an only pet.

Sorry about that.

Ah, that makes more sense. Our rescue agreement said the same, that Lucy would be an indoor-only cat. Of course, that is a given for us. There are too many bobcats in our neighborhood to allow small pets to roam outdoors freely. One of my friends found that out the hard way with her kitty. 😞

Check in is available at midnight local time of the port the ship is sailing from.

Yes I was an idiot for thinking it was based on headquarters time in Miami when the ship will be going out of Galveston.

Finally got in after midnight. Not sure if it was delayed or everything is done by EST.

You should try changing your phone to EST next time to see if that makes a difference. Maybe it reads your phone date and time when you try to log in.

Not calling you an idiot at all, I just know that for our Seattle sailing, we could check in at 3am.  Those sailing from Southampton have been able to check in at 7pm est.

Good idea. It was great checking in for our Symphony sailing out of Miami. I checked in at 11PM. I was really tired last night so it was a pain to stay up after midnight to check in for Liberty.
