Royal Caribbean Cruisers -- How Are Things Where You Are? (was "Routine" 😁 day in lockdown... how was yours?)

Staying at the Cromwell...the old Barbary Coast was probably my favorite hotel back in the day.  Very small, nothing fancy, but you could leave your room and be on the strip in 30 seconds...not like the mega hotels where you have to walk for 5 minutes through the casino just to get outside.

I remember the old Barbary Coast. It has a 1890's Victorian theme to it. I lost a lot of money  every time I gambled there so it soon became known as Barbary Stupid Coast.  But I guess I was the stupid one since I kept going back. 😄 From the pictures I see on the  Cromwells website, looks like they did gutted the place. Very modern, sleek, stylish....and pricey.

I did like the Barbary Coast hot dog cart for a quick bite to eat on the run and as you pointed out, you could be in and out in 30 seconds. Not too many casino's like they on the Strip these days. In fact, the only one I can think of is Casino Royale.  Some of the mega resorts, it takes 5 minutes just to get to the elevator, another 5 minutes zig-zagging thru the casino and once to the front door, a few more minutes just to get to the street since they are set so far back.

My SIL is naive enough to think they’ll be here two weeks 😂.

Maybe 2 months? 😉

Enjoy, it'll be like a family vacation. Except at your house.

We are preparing to have our quiet retirement world turned upside down starting this weekend. Jessica, Sam & our two granddaughters (oh, and the dog too!) are moving in while their house undergoes major renovations consisting of new hardwood floors throughout and all new windows and doors. They’re also gutting and remodeling the kitchen including taking down a wall.  My SIL is naive enough to think they’ll be here two weeks 😂.
Pray for me, lol!

Oh goodie, another reno......................who needs those reno shows on the Tv.  🙂

Maybe if they already have everything they need on hand and there are no issues.

I hope you have multiple bathrooms

Maybe some summer camping in your yard could be an option

Prayers 🙏 winging their way to you Debbie.

I'm sure you will all have an amazing time and their house renovations will be awesome.

You could always book a last minute cruise 😇.

Good afternoon.

It is 16.30pm and still 82°F and sunny.

I had put 4 pounds on during our cruise and our precautionary post cruise c tests were negative.

Duplicate.  Not sure why it appeared again after replying.

As long as you are back by July 14th!!  Seriously, I hope that it all goes well!

We will be here! In fact, you should extend your New England visit with your cousin. Stay in a hotel. We’ll join you 🤣🤣!!

As soon as I saw the dates & where you were staying, I was going to guess that you were going to the game.  It's going to be so much fun, the crowd seems pretty passionate. I was going to make a joke about buying tickets for game 7 now before they go up in price.😉  I mean, Florida did come back from being down 3 game to 1 against the best team in the league.  But the Goldem Knights look totally dominate so I don't see that happening.

I looked at the prices for game 7 a while ago for fun, and they were insane.

We stayed at the hotel back when it was the Monte Carlo. Really enjoyed it, its a nice size not to big and not to small. Kind of a medium-size Mega Resort.  In cruise ship terms, it'd probably be a Voyager-class ship.  Really nice pool area although that might be overshadowed the City Center complex now.  The only quibble I had with the place was the hotel rooms were very basic, like a road side motel. Although that probably was addressed as it was heavily renovated when it became the Park MGM.

The pool area looks amazing.  We looked out at a few times last visit, as we walked through the casino from the tram. The rooms look nice from photos and videos on YouTube.

I purchased tickets for 2 Ranger Round 2 games via Ticketmaster and when the Rangers were eliminated (🤬) my money was automatically refunded in less than a week. It was direct ticket purchases, not third-party resellers but I'm petty sure its the same return policy/proces.

We figured that would most likely be the case as well with the second hand sales but didn’t want the hassle.

Have fun, the crowd should be electric no matter who wins tomorrow.  I'll be tuning in to see Lord Stanley's Cup being hoisted.

I certainly hope so.

As for electric, it will be without a shadow of a doubt.  We have chatted with people wearing VGK gear on the plane and also while waiting to board. One person is in the seat behind us and he is one of the trainers for the Knights. Turns out he lives 45 minutes from us in Canada. The world is a small place some days.

Does anyone know what kind of tree this is?  There are quite a few in my neighborhood, some with this color flower but more with a yellowish cream color flower.  IMG_9096.thumb.jpeg.6cd66cea1b4a4929a4538b439e5ca64a.jpeg

Deb, if these trees are in bloom now, they are probably Kousa Dogwoods.  We had a cream colored one in northern Virginia.  Very pretty trees, with tons of blooms.

I watched Below Deck SY last night. It was two hours of nothing but sexual exploits. The show has really taken a poor turn and if it doesn't move back closer to its roots I may soon be out. After 1.5 hrs last night I gave up and decided I'd be better off sleeping and went to bed.

We watched Below Deck SY Croatia last night and it seems exactly like your BDSY.

This charter there are 9 passengers.
