Are vaccines the light at the end of the tunnel?

Interesting.  Well we never had a pandemic in our lifetimes.  In the age of Medical Records.  Or electronic records.  So this was unexpected and as with everything else our society was totally unprepared.  I think the medical/vaccine records will be an ongoing conversation for years to come.

Brief deviation from vaccines, but I think it's instructive.

We've known this was a problem for years with prescription drugs. If you're in managed care, there's probably some centralized record keeping, and you're likely going to the same pharmacy for everything. If you have premium insurance coverage that allows you to go directly to a specialist, and you pick and choose your pharmacy, you may not have that. Depending on your Medicare coverage, you likewise may not have a PCM. I remember at least one case where my mother's Wal-Mart pharmacist (luckily about the only pharmacy in town!) popped up on a drug interaction from two different physicians. She was probably supposed to provide a drug list, but who knows...

A lot of people hate any form of managed care, but record keeping and drug interaction screening are typically pretty good. In network but "out of house" care maybe not so well. Limited experience there.

Knowing where your vaccine records are located is an extension of this. I honestly don't know if the State of Virginia has a record of my wife's vaccination; I'm reasonably confident they don't have mine from a federal health care facility.

This may be deleted, but I really needed to share this.

This is the supreme idiocy that those of us who are vaccinated will be dealing with when we get back to cruising:  LINK   It's not political per se, but the commentary is... something.

I'm glad that I'd finished my coffee before reading that item, or else I would have spewed it all over my screen. Unbelievable that she is giving "expert" testimony, or any testimony at all. Maybe she just stopped in on her way back from her Flat Earth Society meeting. SMH

This spells DISASTER for cruising.  Ships are made out of friggin' steel!  People won't be able to walk down the hallways without getting stuck to the walls.  🤯

Oh well, everyone KNOWS that the microchips are made of silicon and won't work after an EMP so how could they be magnetized!!!!

I'm off to double check my med school class roster to be certain I didn't miss Dr. Tenpenny's name

What happens to only invite and hear from credible witnesses?  I am all for opposing view but it needs to be credible!

I love it when true anti-Vax wackadoos do public stuff like this.  It is more than humorous and if you are dumb enough to believe stuff like this I am glad you will not be on my cruise ship.

The metal plate in my head has been vibrating since my first Moderna shot.  I thought it was a newly described side effect.😎

Unfortunately not in the USA right now.  The press and media eat this stuff up.  They will give more publicity to this nonsense than "Dr." Tenpenny would ever get on any day.  It plays right into her hands.

Now I don't have to spend money on that metal detector I was going to purchase.

Nor do I need that compass any more as I'll always point due North!

I'm in TRICARE, and all of our records are centralized.

Really? I need to look into this.  Between different duty stations different doctors offices, work, CVS, Rite Aid and Walgreens I wonder how much they have documented.

BTW, my COVID test was negative so if I wasn't sure before, I am a firm believer in the vaccine now. I can only imagine what was floating in the Vegas congestion.

Believe it or not, yes. I came on active duty in 88, and I have vaccine records online from 89. The only things that are weird are influenza from Walgreens that are in my records, but show up as prescriptions rather than immunizations.

Civilian health care referrals are different…

Hey, don’t knock it! Since I’m vaccinated, I guess I don’t have to worry about dropping my fork and knife….they will stick to my hands…..Wow. Love when the person tried to show how she was ‘magnetized’ because she was vaccinated and tried to stick her aluminium, yes aluminium!, key to her neck.

Maybe getting the vaccine stimulated the release of someone's charismatic side...you know, a magnetic personality.

That's an enticing side effect to sell to the vax- hesitant ppl. Haha!

It'll be awesome at the buffet.  Just stick the silverware to your body as you get your food.

I snorted my lunch. We ate at a Legal Seafood in Boston once just off ?Kenmore, close to MIT and one set of silverware was magnetized when we unwrapped it. I remember wondering just what was going on at MIT - now I know, they were developing vaccines!

Apparently this has happened with vaccines before. Uri Geller's secret was to get a dose so strong he could bend spoons.
