Another port and country I have never been to. Thank you for the beautiful photos.

I had 8 years of piano lessons and hated every second after the first year. I still dislike piano music except The Entertainer by Scott Joplin.

My Tuxeudo cat, Lucky, has had a runny and squinty eye since last Thursday and I am running out of her Rx ointment. So off to the vet for a refill today then will bring her in for a check up on Thursday. She has this periodically so I doubt it is anything serious; I just hate to see her look like she is crying all the time and she obviously doesn't feel good.

Happy Beautiful Spring Day, Dailyites!  It really is pretty here in San Diego.  Dry skies are forecast, so I'm washing windows --getting ready for Easter.  🌹🌺🌻

I actually took piano lessons for quite a long time. My repertoire:  Greensleeves, Fur Elise, and The Bear Boogie.   End. of. Repertoire.   🤣

Good afternoon everyone.  Just stopping in on a break from work.  I am trying hard to get lots of work today so I can get out tomorrow to look for a new Easter dress and get to the nurseries.  The nurseries here are now stocked up, so it is time to plant.

I thought of @kazu when I saw this picture posted by @Overhead Fred :

Jacqui, maybe if you had Lego deer in your yard the real deer would be scared off and not eat your flowers!

Nope, the herd would come over to visit.  Believe it or not, one of my neighbours tried it and it attracted more, not deterred them.  But I do appreciate the suggestion 🙂

Just got back from walking the dogs and a herd of 10 dashed by.

I have too many chili babies so once they start to bear fruit I’m going to put some of them out front.  If the deer want to have a hot tongue go for it.  Ring of Fire (one of the varieties) should give them a shock.

I am also growing datura (totally poisonous).  If the seedlings succeed they will go out front outside of the fenced area.  One bite and it will be spit out.  That may make the deer avoid our yard.  If it works, I’ll be doing those seeds every year 😉

Just heard the report from the hospice nurse.  They are of the opinion DMIL had a stroke last night.  She is better than she was last night but they notice her right hand won't grip and some weakness in her left arm.  She wanted nothing to eat for breakfast then was ravenous for lunch.  A burger, onion rings and a shake!  They will be watching the next few days to see if there are any changes.  But it looks like this is what we get for now.  So sad to hear this diagnosis.

Good afternoon and thanks for the Daily Report. I love the thoughts, recipes, pictures and humour on the thread. I agree with @Sharon in AZ   Please keep it up! Prayers for those that need them especially for @StLouisCruisers DMIL. It is always hard to see someone we love begin to falter.

Blessings to all.  Stay safe, everyone!

Thanks to @VMax1700, @AncientWanderer, @smitty34877, and @Dismomx5 for your kind words.  I know everyone here is just as empathetic as you all are and I am grateful to have this place to come to talk things over when we have the need.❤️  Edited to add and you too @bennybear.  Hugs to all of you!

  • @St Louis Cruiser, so sorry to hear of the issues with your DMIL.  It gets so scary when the unexplained happens with our loved ones.  Am sure she will be watched closely and cared for with love.

I am getting back after my feeble attempts at posting a photo.  I am another of the “piano lesson Dropouts.”  My Mother was a talented musician and had 3 daughters who were hopeless.  I would have loved to be able to play the piano.

it almost seems like a real spring day here.  Hopefully the wind doesn’t pick up, although that is the forecast.

Most of the recent ports have been added to the wish list.  Wish the cruises would begin to help with seeing new places.

Have a great day everyone.

Sandi, let’s hope there is no repeat. One of the feistiest women in my gym classes had a stroke two years ago. She said it was a minor one. I do not know what the criteria is that makes it minor vs major.  In my mind they are all major, but evidently the medical field feels differently.

So let’s hope your MIL suffered a minor stroke, and there is no repeat.

Oh I am saddened to hear about your dear MIL. That sure sounds like a mild stroke. I pray she will regain strength and I am happy she was not alone and in this great facility when they found her! I am also happy she is eating too!

God bless you and your family during this stressful time of not being there!
Remember you have all of us as your strength to help you!! If you need us always speak out. We are hear!

This place was such a pillar of strength for me when my dear friend passed. 🌺

Sincerely,

Denise🙏

Oh dear 😱 So sorry to hear this 😢

Hopefully it was not a major one and she will recover well.

How sad after the fight she has had to recover.  Our prayers are with you and her 🙏🏻

I am so sorry to hear this.  But, your DMIL's feisty ways sure show with her lunch choices.  Good for her!  At least you do know what you are dealing with now.  That does give you a path forward.
