I saw that somewhere - I think Royal's AU instagram hads a video clip. Good PR to try and get a trial cruise to visit Vila in November.

Yep, that’s it.
A trip to Singapore and return on the  ship might be in order.
Great place to buy electronics gear plus no weight or bag limits on the ship.  I’ll be in the market for a new theatre AV processor by then.  😀

I was thinking of that as well.

I go to The Adelphi centre on Coleman St.  There are stacks of AV retailers there and it’s only a short taxi ride to the cruise terminal.
Bought both my last two AV processors there.  You can get everything and prices were roughly two thirds of Aussie prices (or less).  Singapore has 220V 50Hz power, so you just have to replace the AC plug with an Aussie one, unless the lead is removeable then of course it’s trivial.  Only catch is there no warranty in Australia.  I got them to run the actual unit I bought.
Sorry folks, a bit O/T.

That Navigator booking in Honolulu Oahu has gone in February 2024 from Hawaii Ports.

Serenade is still showing as visiting in February and March 2024.

February is World Cruise

March who knows.

Navigator will be over 20 years old then and I believe it has to have a dry dock and certification every 2.5 year.

I believe it is due for a dry dock in the first few months of 2024.

Maybe things have changed?
Maybe it will go directly from L.A to Singapore.?
Maybe it won’t be in L.A.?

We should get some news on Hong Kong soon.

LA to Singapore is more than 7600 nautical miles - 17 or 18 days steaming.  Pretty sure they’d need to re-fuel and Hawaii is the most obvious place to do so.  It’s not much of a deviation either.
As you say, perhaps it won’t be in LA then.

I agree.

It will need more frequent dry docks owing to age.

I am thinking the same questions also.

Geoff Navigator will certainly need a drink between LA and Singapore.

Navigator would have the most chance of a deployment change before the other vessels.

18 October is the big announcement date for Icon. It will be interesting to see if Icon replaced something for the Asian/ Chinese cruises.

Yep, Navigator is competing with a few newer, flashier ships.  Royal will probably have to bring some newer hardware or walk away.

I’m still intrigued about Ovation,it’s booked in Sydney and Hawaii at the same time.EE751006-49BB-46C9-A990-52AC019D2B68.thumb.jpeg.8849eeebd9b99e28775fbe7b3dc608c8.jpegA195BB5E-C8AB-4A0B-9D3B-0B8AB22F039B.thumb.jpeg.6fbb5d7313e483b76fd680f3336b6975.jpeg

I can guarantee you that Ovation will be in Sydney as of the 29th October for the season ( they will long boring days at the OPT for me if not 😂 )  Those dates in Hawaii are obviously  just holding names.

Never see that ship here, well maybe in 25 years when the Yanks have had enough of it. Graham might be retired by then and the red carpet worn out, so will not sample Windjammer, @ The Foodjammer, lol.

I have always thought that Windjammer was an unfortunate choice of words for a buffet. 😱😱

The buffets, for me, I believe, will be a thing of the past thanks to covid restrictions.
