Hawaiian Shirts for Chic Nights

[Oklahoma Cruiser 2012]

Hi, 

I have a few Hawaiian Shirts (button up short sleeve) that I got from Hilo Hattie's on my last trip to the Islands. Would one be acceptable on a Chic Night on a Caribbean Cruise?  It'll be on the Millennium in March.  First cruise on Celebrity FWIW.

Hawaiian shirts are totally acceptable in all dining rooms on any night.

Just as long as it is collared you can wear it.

I just bought 3 to ad to my wardrobe !

I bet the OP was referring to a Very Long shirt that went well below his “You Know What’”….that would be quite acceptable.  You just jumped to a very sick conclusion which says more to your state of mind then the poor OP!!

You can wear what you want on chic night……except never shorts. That’s the beauty of chic night, you can dress up if you want or don’t have to.

Celebrity is the Hawaiian shirt cruise. Saw many every night.

Wear what you feel comfortable in.  You will see some folks dressed more formally and some dressed more casually.

Husband wears Hawaiian type shirt Every evening, especially on Carib/Mexico cruises.

He's comfortable and looks great.  Go for it, it's a growing fashion!  😀

I have worn Tommy Bahama shirts on Chic night both with and without jacket.   They meet all the suggested Chic guidelines and are both comfortable and "Chic"

Dh wears his nicest Tommy Bahama silk  shirts for chic night....saves the  island prints for caribbean nights  etc,

Silk Tommy Bahama yes but not chic night for me but we love to dress nice every night.  Never would I be caught dead in a Hawaiian shirt or cargo shorts that some old men love. Save your Hawaiian **** for Hawaii.

My husband wears Hawaiian/Tommy Bahama shirts every night except chic night.  Chic night he wears a solid white or blue shirt with a tie.  No suit coat.  That’s his preference

Yikes!  Sorry, my DH will most likely wear Hawaiian shirts (not silk) every night.  Second thought, not sorry.  He wears a suit and tie to work every day so if it's warm enough for short sleeves, Hawaiian shirts it will be!  The only promises I will make on the cargo shorts is that he won't wear them to dinner...
