Good morning.  Thanks for the Report.

Another summery day here, nice and sunny with a high of 26°C (79°F).

A good collection of days.  I love chocolate eclairs and onion rings but haven't had either in ages - I guess today is the day.🙂  We need to preserve the rainforests.

Amusing quote.

Not sure about the meal.  I'll pass on the drink and hope the wine isn't pricey.

I haven't been to today's port.

Prayers for everyone on the Care List.  Cheers for all the celebrations.

It's time to walk Bertie.  Have a great day everyone!

Good afternoon.

It is currently 68°F and a high of 75°F forecast for later this afternoon.

Thank you for supplying us the opportunity to post on the fleet reports and Daily every day Rich @richwmn.

It is much appreciated and eagerly anticipated by all of us I'm sure every day.

Chocolate eclair cakes or chocolate sweets are nice.

I usually give my onion rings that come with my steak to Pauline.

The world rainforest is so important to the world.

Good wishes to all of my Dailyite friends whether you are poorly or cruising.

Good morning.  Thanks for the reports @richwmn.  I love chocolate eclairs but never eat them and onion rings are a rare treat.  I have seen rainforests mainly on BHBs.  We really need rain after only 1" since we arrived last month.   Will pass on all comestibles again, all too strange for my tastes.  We were in Montevideo in February and did a winery visit with a nice meal.

Thanks for the Cares reports @JazzyV.  Prayers for everyone needing them and the people of Ukraine.

Today is John's birthday and we will celebrate by spending a lot of the day fishing.  Perfect for a day that will be in the high 80s.  Our road got fixed yesterday and our boat was put in right after.   Have a wonderful day!  Nancy

I forgot to add my Montevideo photos.  We did a HA shorex to the high points of the city, a market, the crazy bridge and then a short drive into the country to visit a pleasant winery with great food.  February 11, 2023

Good morning friends!  Another cloudy morning, temp of 64 with rain expected at points during the day.  High of about 78.  There's been so much rain lately the mowing of lawns will not be done this week.  Those heavy mowers tear up water soaked grass.  Hope it's nice wherever you are!  Thank you Rich @richwmn for the Daily and Fleet Report this morning.

Yesterday DH became concerned because he noticed the water pressure in the house is too high.  He has a pressure gauge on the water heater.  Plus a valve on the water pipes coming into the house, located in our basement mechanical room, had begun to drip faster than it had the days before.  So he called a plumber seen in our community often and seemingly trusted by everyone.  They showed up an hour or two later and quickly replaced the valve in the basement, and then they replaced the pressure tank attached to the water heater which was not working properly anymore.  Then they did a small job out in the yard where the underground sewer line clean out box had sunk slightly causing the metal lid to rock on the cap on the sewer line.  Concern being mowers running over the box lid could eventually crush and crack the sewer line cap.  All was done efficiently and for a small sum of money.  Then when they left they wished us a blessed day!  The name of the company - A Christian Plumber. So grateful to feel safe again!

Interesting days today.  I love chocolate eclairs, and enjoy onion rings as well.  I feel like I'm living in a rainforest these days!  Love the crazy Rodney Dangerfield quote of the day.  Absolutely no interest in a jerk tofu grain bowl right now!  The drink sounds weird, sorry!  Another Hawkes Bay wine, this time a Chardonnay.  If I liked Chardonnay I'd try it.  Thanks for the reports coming up on the meal, drink and wine Debbie @dfish, Dixie @summer slope, and Ann @cat shepard.

A great day in history for us in 1675 when the Greenwhich Observatory was established.  DH and I have visited there and enjoyed it very much.  Thank you Graham @grapau27 for that information.

Prayers said this morning for our Care list people, especially the submersible passengers.  🙏  Also prayers for more tornado victims, this time in Texas overnight, and the people of Ukraine.  As for the Celebration list, I hope everyone has a wonderful time, whether at home or on a ship.  🥂  Thanks Vanessa @JazzyV for being up early and posting so soon.  Also for the time it takes for you to read and rewrite the list every day.  ❤️  I hope to be celebrating by lunch time, so Go Ren and Go Jags!  Whether they win or lose, they'll be winners in my book.  Final Four!!🏆

Today's port is Montevideo, Uruguay which we had once on June 15, 2021.  I'll post the link, then repost photos from back in 2021.

Montevideo, Uruguay has been a frequent stop for us, since we've been there on every South America cruise we've taken.  My lists show we have seen Montevideo, Uruguay four times.  The first two were on Star Princess and Ruby Princess in 2012 and 2015, on circumnavigation cruises of South America.  The last two times were on Antarctica cruises going from west coast to east coast so near the end of the cruises which ended in Buenos Aires.  2017 was the end of the Seabourn Quest Antarctica/S. Georgia Island cruise and 2020 was on Coral Princess on our drive by of Antarctica.  In 2020 we didn't even get off the ship that day and prepared for our departure in Buenos Aires by packing our bags.

Our 2012 visit to Montevideo was a real disappointment to us.  The city was run down and I hate to say it, but the sidewalks were littered with dog feces.  Not just a little, but a lot!  We had to keep our eyes down as we walked around trying to see the sights.  Friends were with us on that cruise and they can verify that memory.  So on our second stop there in 2015 we were a little leery but went out anyway.  We were so relieved to see the city had been doing a clean up the prior 3 years.  We had an enjoyable time seeing the sights, and repeated that experience again in January 2017.

I have so many more photos of the Cathedral interior but have to stop now.  We wound our way back to the port enjoying some of the beautiful architecture.  enhance

Thank goodness the people of Montevideo decided to put some effort into restoring their city to its present state.  I know you'll enjoy a stop there on your next South America cruise.

That's all for Montevideo today.  Have a great day everyone!

Good morning Dailyites.

Heartfelt thanks to our contributors who keep this thread going.

I have hardly had a chance to read my Daily or news feeds. We have had some medical issues and attending to appointments. I hope nothing is serious with our Dixie and looks like some other health issues have been posted. Terry I still have you, Tana, DH in my prayer book and added Marshhawk and family this morning.

Weather here has been hot-hot-hot. Was hoping for a bit of rain last night but it was mostly windy, thunderstorms and lightning. My poor little annuals are pretty much kaput.

I'm watching our little neighbor dog while her parents head to Southampton to take a cruise to Norway. She was up early with me this morning so decided to feed her and take a walk before it turns sweltering.

Thank you for thinking of me. I hope to be back posting soon.

Thank you Rich, Vanessa, Debbie, Dixie, and Ann.  Welcome back Joy.  I'll pass on the eclair and onion rings but celebrate Rainforests.  Rodney Dangerfield sure has a way with quips.

Loved Montevideo, been there 4 times (Crystal Symphony 2016, Crystal Serenity 2017, Zaandam 2017, and Prinsendam 2019.  A very popular port on South American cruises and a very nice one.

Establishment of an Observatory in Greenwich was a great day in history.  I'll pass on the meal.  My alternative is Pinnacle Burger and Sorbet, my lunch on MS Prinsendam May 31, 2015.

Today I attain age 80 (birthday tomorrow) and lose a molar.  It is chilly and rainy and I hope not to need to be out at the worst times.  I can't really pamper myself as I need to be at my church twice, morning for a teaching session on our AV system and again tonight to go over Sunday's service.

Thank you for today’s R & D, Rich! It is a gorgeous morning here! Perhaps we have finally broken out of the recent weather pattern, though the rain helped fill our water reservoirs & made everything lush and green.

Vanessa, thank you for what you do for all of us! I believe I read posts carefully, until you share something that I miss & I have to go reread them.  Zumba, Bindi walks, chores and hopefully- pool time, will keep me busy.

Get well & stay well everyone!

Tony Bish Chardonnay Hawkes Bay Skeetfield 2021

Another elusive New Zealand wine, though I did find a few distributors who ship worldwide. Consumers love this Chardonnay, and I even found one review of it!  The Australian distributor that I found, offers it for the lowest price that I found - $61.65 + shipping

Raymond Chan - 98 points

Bright, straw-yellow with depth and a light green sheen, slightly lighter on the rim. The nose is complex and enticing, with aromas of stonefruit, citrus and yellow blossoms entwined with layers of toasty, creamy and spice elements. Medium-full bodied, aromas of peach, apricot, lemon sherbet and pink grapefruit show purity, unveiling toasted brioche, almond, lemon curd and delicate oak spice. The wine is sleek with a seamless acidity flow; it elegantly binds and integrates oak elements and underlines power and structure. Chalky phenolics left a silky, opulent mouthfeel. This sleek Chardonnay possesses pristine fruit with elegant, well-portioned, integrated oak elements on a seamless palate. Match with lemon butter langoustine and hamachi sashimi over the next 8+ years. Dry-farmed Mendoza clone handpicked, whole bunch pressed. 100% barrel-fermented to 14% alc, 60% new Taransaud French oak. 100% MLF, battonage, on lees for 12 months. 19.5/20 pts (98 pts) Sep 2022

Good Morning to All!!

Thank you for the Fleet Report and updates.  Quick read again for me as I am continuing my cross country drive with my friend from New York.  We have made it to the middle of Kansas.  My friend has never been to all the places we have gone (saw the Gateway Arch yesterday and crossed the Mississippi, Missouri and Ohio Rivers).  It is fun watching her go Oh! Awe! OMG! She is little a little kid looking at all new things!  I love it.  Hopefully this will open up a door for her into traveling!!

On to Denver today.  Hopefully will stay away from storms (there was a tornado yesterday outside of Denver).  We will stay there 2 days as she wants to scout out the area for a possible move for her and her daughter in the future.

Have a great day everyone!!

Hello everyone. Thank you for the Daily and Fleet reports.

@rafinmdHappy early birthday! I have been spending the past several months having my teeth worked on. It seems to be a long and daunting process.

Cloudy and cooler today. I will be in the office seeing clients today.

I love chocolate eclairs and onion rings. I do appreciate the rain forests.

Thinking of you all today.

Have a safe and healthy day.
