You may of already mentioned but is this your first time with the Key? Am I going to be able to see a pic of your 1st ice cream cone. Also it looks like you are still on central time. Isn't the ship on eastern time? We had the Key before. If the price is right of course. I think in all my cruises I’ve only had a ice cream cone once. I need to have one on this cruise.

Rare laurieal Posted October 21, 2023 #329 Share Posted October 21, 2023 Happy Cruise Day! I loved your pre-cruise pictures. I usually stay near 17th street, but Las Olas looks like a ton of fun so I'll look into booking something there next time.

Muster done, BOGO D+ reservations done (they let us use one on Day 5…we’ll probably switch it for the group dinner on day 3). Current situation at Schooner bar: Kraken Colada for her, Rittenhouse Rye Old Fashioned for me. Oh, that Kraken Colada looks divine!! Have a great time with our buddies, Larry and Andi!!!!

We all love that movie and that line but I had a friend whose son really did, seriously with a BeeBee gun! I kid you not. Thank God he didn't lose the eye entirely, but it goes to show it really can! Our first time on Las Olas….we’ve always done 17th as well but my wife made it pretty clear she likes Las Olas better. I think @Sea Dog would agree, the Riverside Hotel is a wonderful place to stay!

We're doing The Key next month (got a good deal - $8 over Voom rate and a 4 day). This relaxing meal was a big reason why! I was already planning on getting Voom since DH will not be with me for the first time on a cruise.
irishgal432 Posted October 21, 2023 #338 Share Posted October 21, 2023 Thanks for doing this. We were booked on Adventrue pre covid right before it was "refurbished" and somany things were off since they were getting ready for a refurb. Going again next New Years. Excited to see pictures. Is the concierge lounge up in Viking or still on deck 9?

I forgot to put the battery in the air tag this morning so I can’t confirm though. Always afraid when doing that our bags will go round and round and some stranger will take off with our bags. 1 hour ago, bobmacliberty said: Any idea how "colossal", the colossal shrimp are? According to Meriam-Webster, they should be "of an exceptional or astonishing degree". We had the Key Chops lunch last month on Jewel, and the Shrimp WERE NOT! colossal at all, it would have took 4 of the shrimp served to equal one colossal shrimp.

Husky1987 Posted October 21, 2023 #342 Share Posted October 21, 2023 (edited) In the room at 1:00. Bags were waiting outside the door when we got there. Everything unpacked…bed made. These things have been back savers for my wife and I when sleeping on the notoriously hard RC beds. Rare Sea Dog Posted October 21, 2023 Author #344 Share Posted October 21, 2023 Our room 7320. Smaller than other balcony rooms we’ve been in. We can make it work. The difference is other balcony rooms Linda could lay on the couch length ways and take a nap.
