Nieuw Amsterdam, Zaandam and Eurodam in Port Everglades on March 16, 2024

Recommended Posts

Well, this will be an interesting sailaway….6 ships in port, with 3 scheduled for 3:00 pm, and 2 scheduled for 3:30.  I wonder how it’s really going to work out for sailaway times???

ms Nieuw Amsterdam will be at pier 26 from 4:15 am to 3:00 pm, and she is on a 7 Night Eastern Caribbean, ms Zaandam will be at pier 19 from 5:30 am to 3:00 pm, and she is on a 14 Night Panama Canal, and ms Eurodam will be at pier 21 from 6:00 am to 3:00 pm and she is on an 11 Night Eastern Caribbean Wayfarer

NA can't leave before X Apex - so no 3 pm. Zaandam is at pier 19 but even with her small size she may still be boxed-in. Eurodam at pier 21 just needs to be ready - If she leaves at 3 pm Zaandam can follow soon after. That takes care of our 3 BHBs listed for 3 pm. The rest can fight out 3:30.

At least no Sky Pr who always leaves late and seemingly just when Apex is ready to back out. 😞

X Reflection won't leave before NA [whom she is sitting behind] who is behind Apex.

Hopefully, once they do start; we have a parade.

Can they sail three wide through the channel?  That would be fun watch as they would be able to shake hands with Redneck Bob without leaving their respective ships.  I have a feeling that things will change closer to sailing time for all the ships.  Hope to be here for sailaway.

Dang, I won't be here to wave at the 3 BHB's; we're heading out for brunch for 1PM (we're 2 hours behind FLL), so will miss the excitement.  Safe travels to all!

It's a busy day here in FLL.  We arrived at the hotel around 1030 and there had to be at least 100 people waiting around to leave for the ships. If my walking wasn't so bad I'd go stand on the bridge and watch the sail-away but instead I think I'll be down at the pool.
