What, another rumor about a new ship to Baltimore? It certainly would not be "another" meaning two ships from there.

Why do you believe that they would depart from their time-honored practice of releasing their next year itineraries before next Feb/Mar? That schedule seems to have satisfied them for the past decade or more and I can't believe that they feel any urgent need to depart from their normal schedule.

I don't think so as they signed a long term deal in Bayonne (thru 2043). Maybe, Celebrity will sail out of Brooklyn.

Tidbits surfacing about the "big reveal"...

 

A new app:

- the company has been developing a next-generation application that also will harness its significantly enhanced fleetwide Wi-Fi backbone infrastructure.

- The new mobile app offers a host of functionality such as the ability to breeze through embarkation—thanks, in part, to facial recognition tied to a pre-loaded security photo, the possibility to plan and schedule activities, order drinks delivered where desired, and to make restaurant and excursion reservations and more via a virtual concierge.

- 5% to 20% of the total RCL fleet, including Royal Caribbean International and Azamara Club Cruises brands, will have at least parts of this functionality this year

- the 'Sea Beyond' reveal is also expected to showcase some Celebrity Edge features along with more immersive shore excursion offerings

 

Details on all of these points should surface within the next day or two...

RC can't even design/implement/maintain a "user-friendly" WORKING website! Don't hold a lot of faith the app would be any better! Would much rather them focus on getting the website working correctly!

Perhaps they used another software partner to essentially consider this a "version 2" of RoyalIQ and maybe rebrand it.
