But none on Oasis, so you don't  have a basis to declare it's worse than Harmony.

Harmony was crowded on President cruise,  never, ever, said it wasn't. That was an anomaly and you were warned not to go.

Noro cruise Oasis had 42 pins, not overwhelmed at all. Plenty of JS passengers ate in CK.  Will be back in 3 weeks,  hopefully no Noro

Where did I say anything about Oasis. My comment was regarding the odd thing about Harmony and no mans land between SL/CK you mentioned. It varies based on the number of Pins onboard. And how many Harmony cruises do you have?  I think the same amount as us.

Apologies, I was mainly speaking of Oasis.

I have two so far, many planned.

Keep in mind that many pinnacles accumulated many extra points a few years ago when 3 or 4 days cruises were converted to 7 points during a Crown and Anchor realignment.

It will take longer to reach pinnacle now if you have many 3 and 4 day cruises because they only earn 3 or 4 points.

Keep in mind cruising during the 80s and 90s was cost prohibitive.  So even a 3-4 night cruise was painfully expensive.  Nothing like the bargains they are now.  The really sweet spot was 1999-2009(or whatever year they converted.  Can’t remember anymore) during the ship building boom when the prices were dropping and they were still on the 1 point for cruises 1-12 nights and 2 points for 12 or more.   That was the fastest way to make diamond.   Even compared to the 00s cruising has only gotten cheaper,  especially inflation adjusted.

Before pretty much any cruise line outside of carnival was nearly a luxury line with impeccable service.   Now you really have to go for crystal, seaborne, regent to get the experiences of the 90s and also pay appropriately inflated prices.

12 day Allure TA in 2020, but thanks for the advice.  We're hoping to use the next Prime cruise for the 50th birthday Bash

Just one more thing and I will quit giving "advice".  Forgive me if you already know this.

Laura not only qualifies for the free annual prime cruise but she can also get a casino discount on ANY cruise she books.  It's not like the old days where it's a huge discount but it usually runs about 5% (that's for a suite...not sure if the percentage is the same on all room categories - probably not),  and it's combineable with C&A discounts (balcony discounts, etc.).

I'll shut up now...

We saw a couple last winter with lighted flashing Pinnacle pins.  One of the dumbest things I've seen in a while.

How cheesey. Was it at least the holidays for the flashing pins? Something tells me it wasn't and they wear them all the time. I would've had a good laugh at them.

Cannot imagine you and Bucky sailing in an inside cabin instead of your usual Grand Suite when you turn Pinnacle in 12 to 18 months.

See you Sunday. Have the same dinner reservations as you in the Coastal Kitchen. 60 Pinnacles are cruising with us.

Inside cabin...me??!!  Oh no...no...no..no.  Claustrophobia to the max...and where would I put all my cat pictures?  LOL!!  😄

Hmm...seems to be the common number lately.  We had 61 on the Lady O last month.  Great minds think alike, as we both seem to like that 6:30 CK time.  🙂

Oasis has by far the best CK lunch and breakfast of the first three Oasis ships.  I have not sailed Symphony.

Harmony has that nice buffet area, but that's about it.  The SL furniture is nicer as well.

The odd thing about Harmony is that no man's land between CK and SL.  Is it CK or is it SL? Very confusing

I like the bar set up better on Oasis.  Much more open and comfortable, love all the natural light and the view with those floor to ceiling windows behind the bar.  Plus more seating too.  🙂

Time to dust off my marching shoes. I'll be in that parade in a couple of weeks.

I get to watch the parade/march starting Sunday.  Does free up our favorite seats at the bar when we come in at 5:30.  😉

We had 61 last month, and found out 60 this next Sunday.  Did not make any difference to us at all.  Always plenty of seating in the SL, and always received our requested dinner time.

That's why it's good to have Pins up there, many leave the SL early.  CK manager was begging us to eat there lady week.  We only did dinner once. Breakfast every day, lunch 4 days.

I read this and I wondered if I may have been accidentally “rude”, in asking folks how many cruises they have been on.  I love to meet other cruisers and hear about the places they have been.  We often join folks from our roll call on excursions and spend time sharing stories, never thought of it as rude to ask how many cruises they have been on.

You sound very nice and concerned  so I'm sure it was not you.  If you are comfortable, then don't change your conversation starter.  This person was making a contest out of the conversation.    I never ask folks how many cruises they have been on.    On occasion, I might ask, do you  have an opportunity to travel often?   I do like to talk travel and love to learn about new cities/countries, port stops, sights, cruise tips etc.

I hope we do meet one day!  You can ask me how many cruises I've been on:classic_smile:

Agree.  Saw many empty tables the last time we were on.  We do enjoy CK for dinner all week though.  To use up OBC, we did go to 150 CP....eh....was OK.  Still like first night steak in CK better.

ThankYou!  I would very much enjoy a cruise conversation with you!  We came to cruising a bit later than most, our parents have cruised extensively and have always encouraged us to try it.  We have traveled a lot but not by cruising.  Now we are hooked.  We are leaving soon to cruise with them as part of a 90th Birthday celebration for our Dad.  Pretty excited to share in something they love so much and are still able to do.

Honest questions to the "Pinnacle Bashers".....

If you are so unhappy with your suite perks being shared with the Pinnacles....why do you continue to sail RCCL?  Why not just travel on a different cruise line that has suites/perks and doesn't have Pinnacle members?

Why bash any level of C&A member for utilizing perks that the cruise line has offered?  The C&A members didn't write the policy.  The C&A members are "taking over" areas they aren't permitted.  So why the need to bash people for using a service/venue that is as much a part of their "benefit" as it is the "suite passenger benefit"?

Why not just find another cruiseline and move on to those sailings and those forums on CC?

Why make yourself look so bad?

Truly interested in knowing why you feel you need to continue bashing people that have done nothing wrong.

(We have all met the occasional obnoxious P, DP, D, E, P, and even G member....but that is no reason to stereotype the whole "tier".)
