I'm getting a little anxious.... first time booking a cruise in a new ship that isn't even finished yet. Hopefully everything will be running smoothly by Jan 16th 🙂

Good question. With all that is going on in Itlay one can see the sense in closing for a while. I'm sure all shipyards in Europe are now taking taking necessary steps to ensure the wellbeing of their workers. To that end, some delivery dates may be pushed out.

BTW Meyer Werft has resumed the work on the Iona which is currently located in Bremerhaven. But they start out "slow".

 

There was no notice that the work ever stopped in the ship yard itself.

Until when will the ship remain in the Hangar approx before it will be floated out? Also by when would they perform the river conveyence  to sea assuming original time frame will be kept?

Looking at the Iona - she´s due for delivery in May. Float out was mid Feb, Ems river conveyance mid March.

 

Odyssey - delivery November, so float out maybe August, and Ems river conveyance September?

I seem to remember conveyance of other Q class ships a bit closer to delivery - like one month?
