barb in ga Posted February 23, 2019 #3 Share Posted February 23, 2019 The paella served in Windjammer on day 1; the Cuban panino sandwich from Park Café; cream of mushroom soup at Chops Grille--just a few of my favorites. Almost forgot--savory bites in the bread basket in the MDR--if you request them early in the cruise, they will make them for you. Barb
Mikew0805 Posted February 23, 2019 #4 Share Posted February 23, 2019 Roasted Poblano Pepper Soup in the MDR, Savory Bites, Lasagna MDR... however my absolute fave is the sautéed mushrooms atop a filet or ribeye at Chops.
blueridgemama Posted February 23, 2019 #5 Share Posted February 23, 2019 Love this thread as we will be eating in the "free" dining options, no specialty restaurants, so It is helpful to hear what is good.

Thanks, I can't wait to try this sandwich! The last time we sailed with RCCL was 2007. We only intend to eat for free in the MDR and Windjammer, so any other recommandation would be appreciated. One thing to keep in mind, some of the items on the MDR dinner menu might also be available in the WJ that same evening. Makes it nice to enjoy some of those items, while still having a nice, casual evening.

It's probably the best roast beef sandwich you'll ever have! On some sailings they've been a little skimpy with the beef, but you can always order 2 My favorite on the ships, though, is the sweet cranberry breakfast bread - i have a total mind block of the name, but it's amazing.
voyager70 Posted February 23, 2019 #21 Share Posted February 23, 2019 Savory bites are the little bread nuggets served in the MDR. Crunchy outside, chewy inside. They are wonderful!
