Crown & Anchor Welcome Gifts

Recommended Posts

Is it still possible to select your Crown & Anchor welcome gift on the cruise planner ahead of time?  We haven't been on a Royal Caribbean Cruise for over 2 years, and I can't find any place online to make choices about what beverage or snack options we want.  Where can I find this?  Or does everyone just get the same thing now?  If so, what is it?  We are Diamond level, if that matters.  Thanks.

As Diamond your only choice is water, soda or a juice.  No choice on snacks.  As mentioned...call

This was the part we really enjoyed...547962627_121318F1OVATIONoftheSEAS_AtSeaDay1toNewZealand_Cabin7130CrownandAnchorTreats.thumb.jpg.1f07de99c196ec552c363da4f55deada.jpg

The fruit loops always crack me up.  I never would have thought of using them like that.  I love the chocolate covered strawberries, but we've had them delivered when we're in port and they have sat in the room all day.  When that happens, the chocolate affects the fruit and as it melts, the strawberries get mushy.

Is it me...  Or is that small plate of treats sorta pathetic?  I assume you have to eventually spend 10's of thousands of dollars to get to the Diamond level and all you get is a few measly chocolates in your room?  How about a nice bottle of Dom or something like that to show their appreciation.  I hope as a Diamond and above member, you get better perks than that, which I assume you do, but wow..  I'd be unhappy with this :-(

Don’t forget that you are getting a $225 balcony discount, a day of free internet, a free photo and free drinks every night and a few other perks as well.

Why complain over a plate of treats and feel that you should get a bottle of champagne instead.  Look at the whole package not the individual item.

A bottle of Dom champagne waiting for someone is totally over the top in expectations on RCI, regardless of status.

Getting that kind of perk is more in line with luxury lines..unless someone wants to move to SilverSea, Seabourn, or Crystal - where someone pays as much on a couple of their cruises than any Diamond passenger might pay altogether in their history.

I didn't complain..  I was merely stating that a plate of chocolates is pretty petty..    Then I said, "I hope as a Diamond and above member, you get better perks than that, which I assume you do", so what you said are the "better perks", which I appreciate your input.

Maybe it’s just me but I get the plate of treats and a bottle of champagne.

It may be over the top, but with so many other cruise line and such, it's the things like this..  Case in point, the casino's in my neck of the woods in NJ and NYS are everywhere..  But I'll only spend my money in the ones that offer better bene's and upgrades, comp rooms and such that treat me better..  But to each is own I guess....

DOM?  HA HA

After 80 points ( roughly 12 week long cruises sailing in a non suite cabin, double occupancy) you get to select a Crown and Anchor gift and can then select  a nice bottle of $6  😉 wine ( $35 on the RCCL wine list).

The gift  plate above comes mid week and is fairly representative of what is provided. Some cabins and loyalty levels have additional  gifts and gift choices, but no one is running to get to a C&A level for the plate of treats.

Funny how just now I got my monthly FREE C&A Newsletter...a nice perk too after all. 👍🤣

We did not get anything like that for the past 4 cruises. Just a plate of day old cookies.

OMG...that surely would have been worth a "discussion" with the CD onboard!   (😱 :classic_laugh:)...

Then again...I might have traded with you...kinda like those crispy oatmeal cookies... 🤣

I for one disagree with you.  Possibly you would feel differently if you were diamond or higher.  We appreciate whatever the C&A LA sends to our cabin or anything else associated with the C&A upper tier level program.

So, as I see from the responses, some are ok with little things and some would like a bit more for the amount of money they spend.  It's an opinion and everyone will have a different one.
