Hal cancels sale of the Prinsendam...

Because of pressure from hundreds of loyal Hal passengers, Hal announced today that the Prinsendam will stay in the fleet.

She will go into dry dock on July 1st for a 4 week major renovation..

I understand that during the renovation, HAL intends to install a "birdbath" pool on Prinsendam as it has proved to be a popular feature on other ships. Formal night will be reintroduced, smoking will be allowed everywhere on board, and trays will once again make an appearance in the buffet.

 

Finally, the ship will be re-christened as the "April Fooldam".

You must show proof that you have had your tux or gown for at least 30 years - new attire will be tossed  overboard and guests will be required to do the Walk of Shame to the Lido Buffet.  Feed bags will be provided for guests to strap on for the extra entrees in the MDR.  Hal Cats will be the entertainment, with a wide selection of songs from the 1950s...
