It is not a refrigerator. It's a cooler. Here's proof.

My outstanding Stateroom Attendant, Reshina, also had a very comfy foam mattress topper on my bed when I arrived.

I wonder how that happened?  I emailed RCI about a mattress topper and they said they could not accommodate me.

Yes, they do use that kind. My Promenade cabin on Adventure had that kind. Our VP suite on the same ship had a fridge. That cabin was added at drydock 2+ years ago. Our last 3 cabins on Harmony and Symphony all had fridges.

You can tell if you look at the label inside the cabinet

We haven't sailed on those newer ship so as mentioned we've only had coolers in our cabins on board.

Most of the time these have worked reasonably well but have had to use the suggestions mention earlier, propping the cabinet door open for better cabinet ventilation and putting an ice bucket inside the cooler.

That's my "beauty fridge"! Check out my current photo review -

I'm busted! 😲 I hope you don't mind. I pirated the picture from your live thread as I thought it was fitting for this thread. Besides that it's imaginative and creative use of empty space.😀✌️

...and I found that the microwave in the cabin NEVER worked and sometimes the door got stuck!

I used to hide my money in that microwave but discovered my money was disappearing over the course of the cruise.

Read somewhere on CC about a tip to keep the "almost cool" fridge much colder.  Keep the cabinet door/doors open part way to help with circulation (but of course the fridge door closed).  Indeed that little fridge should not be closed up in a cabinet..can't operate correctly that way.

I just pulled a bottle of water out of my little cooler/fridge a few minutes ago.  Was not frozen, but there was a chunk of ice in the bottle.  😮  Definitely keeps it colder doing that.  And my bottles of Sauvignon Blanc are nicely chilled!  No need for ice bucket.  🤗

Agree, been keeping cabinet door open over 20yrs. Been while since did actual temp check but times I did it would drop 5-7 Degrees with door open...

We were on the Allure last month.  The door to the refrigerator was bolted to the cabinet.  Therefore, we could not keep the cabinet door open.  However, the fridge did keep water, soda, and beer cold.  So I guess it was a "real" refrigerator.

...and you're surprised that you had no cold cash on hand?  🤔  You should have stashed the cash in the cooler next to your makeup.

All I can tell you is that I emailed special needs 30 days prior to the cruise and they accommodated me on both the fridge and mattress topper. My State room attendant may have had something to do with it.  She was incredible throughout.

Definitely makes a big difference.  Goes from "sorta cool" to regular fridge temperature.  First time I saw ice form in one.  Worked for me!  😉

Had one of those before...agree...don't like that kind.  Can't keep cabinet door open on that one.  😮
