Looks like water dropping in the first chamber.  Correction:  I think ZDAM is in the first level and the water levels are equalizing between the 2 chambers.  The gates should slide to the sides pretty soon.

They won't. All those lock pics you see are taken by two ship's photographers who hitch a ride on one of the early morning canal boats and are then taken to the lock prior to the ship getting there - don't tell anyone!
