Manilla airport has been closed so the bar staff will have problems getting home. Some of the Indonesians staff on the Eurodam could not get home either as of two weeks ago. (DH and I are just now completing our two weeks of self-quarantine today after flying home from San Diego and the Eurodam on 3/18) Hopefully Manilla has opened up to some flights by now.

Me thinks they have enough fuel to be loitering in that holding pattern

Aren't all the ships keeping the crews on board during this period? It sounds like from the internet "chatter" that only essential staff are staying on (and anyone who is showing symptoms). Many crew are being sent home if their contracts are ending and perhaps just being furloughed.

CruisingAlong4Now Posted April 2, 2020 #2238 Share Posted April 2, 2020 Slightly off topic but related to the Marine Traffic, the Anthem of the Seas's destination is "Drifting". That seems to be true for most of us.

A lot of the ships start in Florida & head to other Countries They have many Americans/Canadians/Brits/Australians onboard just because embarkation was in SA does not mean they are all from SA I was on the same itinerary in 2018 (BsAs to San Antonio). Pax were roughly 1/4 from each country: UK, Canada, Australia, US with US the 4th largest group. There were only a handful of SA citizens- I believe from Argentina. SightCRR Posted April 2, 2020 #2247 Share Posted April 2, 2020 I am wondering & guessing that they might be making sure that their fresh water tanks are completely full and that any other tanks are where they need to be.
