Inspired by another thread regarding cruise withdrawal, I thought it might be fun to post about your favorite Celebrity cocktail.  Please share a picture if you have one, the ingredients if you can remember them 😉, and the recipe if you know it.

Here's the Smashy Japanese from Sushi on 5:

Don't know the recipe but it includes jalapeno infused vodka, lemon, cucumber and basil.

I went ballistic and unorthodox on our Edge sailing and asked for a Rob Roy made with Macallan!

From that day forward, I never asked for it again and the bartender and I became great bud's as he was just shocked back into reality... after all, it was just a cocktail... LOL

btw - I never did that again, as why waste a good shot?

Cheers and bon voyage

t - yes I know, but to shock the purists around me (and myself) I had to do it!

Secretly I Am sure there were others who would want to do the same thing but could not bring themselves to do so...

I broke the ice or so I like to think... LOL

Cheers and bon voyage

I really have to be in the right mood (pretty purist about whisky), but a good single malt cocktail can be pretty amazing! Had a Vegas bartender make a twist on a Rob Roy with Laphroaig once. It was pretty amazing.

(And we are talking no age statement Macallen these day. You're not talking about an 18 year old Bowmore...)

Bo, this brought back a conversation i had many years ago with an elder Scotsman who was a colleague...we were discussing "the malts" as he so lovingly called them....and the topic of using them in mixed drinks came up....i can still hear the conversation in his heavy brogue.....the conclusion of which was "if God ha' wanted you to add anything besides ice or water to a malt, he bloody well wouldn't ha' made the blends".

I am glad you tried it to satisfy your curiosity.....however, i am surprised the bartender continued to serve you.....

Our favorite was a Peach and Bourbon drink in the Retreat Lounge.

I don’t know the official name of the drink but I read about it on cruise critic and when I asked about it, the bartender knew exactly what I was talking about.

I’m a wimpy drinker so mine was made with more peach and less bourbon; my husband had the regular (stronger) version.

Hands down one of my favorites!  The name Bourbon and peaches makes it sound so simple to make.  I have yet to perfect it here at home though.  Perhaps it just tastes better on a cruise ship.

We haven’t tried making it ourselves yet.  We’ll have to give it a try.  But you may be right that it won’t taste the same as it does on the ship.

On ships with World Bar, they used to rustle me up a great cocktail (not on the menu) with Talisker.

The Infinity this summer it was mainly the Negroni, it was a cruise around the Adriatic and Sicily after all
