Today was "shakedown day" for the remote control B-24 model DH has been building off and on for many years.  It has a 12 foot wingspan and is scratch built.  Today he moved it outside so he could start the gas engines.  He's pretty happy with it.  In this photo the plane doesn't have all the detail pieces installed, but he made some cool things for it, like operable bomb bay doors, gun turrets and retractable landing gear.  It will be an exciting day when he sends it up on its first flight.

This is amazing. Please post video if the first flight goes well. I’d love to see it.

Went to Costco today and they’ve made some changes since the last time I was there.  They have placed directional arrows in the aisles and i5 looks like they hired a Brit to do it.  This was one of the few times I was able to get a picture where they weren’t complete chaos. Too many people driving on the wrong side of the aisle. 

FYI, the guy driving down the middle ahead of me was a Costco employee.

Did some outside work today as the weather was amazing for March. While I did that, this remainder of snow in the backyard. 

 

 

 

Shortly after it turned into this. 
 

 

Owen’s ball gear came out of basement. 

 

 

 

I also cleaned some windows, the worst of them. I know I have to do them again in a few month or so. I can see clearly now. 🎶
 

 

 

I have enjoyed watching the last of the snow on our lawn melt too. This should be gone by tomorrow.

Sparky and Eva can come over and join Lucy.  Much of the time I was being supervised, I’m sure they’d help.

Went for a walk along our local river- the Genesee (same as the beer).   Lots of families out and we were able to grab a picture of a rainbow off the lower falls.

 

 

 

Now to find out why it’s upside down.

We did this for about a two months in Florida. It didn’t last long but I did get more exercise.

Genesee beer was a popular, cheap option when I was growing up in Buffalo, being so close to Rochester. We’d usually drink the Genesee Cream Ales, aka Genny Screamers. I saw Genesee Cream Ale on tap at a local restaurant in Florida the other day. The bartender said they actually sell quite a few.
