Nice!!!!!!  We've never done a B2B before....

We were going to Florida to cruise on the Harmony and decided to do a B2B.  We felt it wasn’t worth the hassle for only a seven day cruise.  It was different itineraries each week and was great!!!

Actually, how long is the "pool season"?

late April to about now. It could start a bit earlier and end later but it will be a lot of $ to heat it.

Sad day but boy that cover sure does look easy peasy to put on.

The entire process was done in just over an hour.

My pool season just ended also, we don’t cover the pool , also I wear shorts from April to mid October.

If I lived in Texas I’d wear shorts most of the winter. 😁

I finally got Dick to the point where he thought less than 7 days was too short!

Took years to do it, though.

I am trying for that, the longest we've done is 11 days and hubby said that was nice but long enough, his sweet spot is about 8 or 9.  Me, I could do a nice B2B, maybe some day.

Did you get to climb it when you were there or was it still closed?

It was closed when we were there.

I have thought about it.  My husband does all the scooping while I work on food and meds so it hasn't been a priority for me.  LOL  Does it take special litter?  Does it fit large cats?  Elmer is large 20 lbs and Samantha may get pretty big.  Was it hard to get your cats used to using it?

We use the Arm & Hammer Slide cat litter. Our biggest is 15 pounds and she is fine with it. I did read reviews where some people said their cat was to big, but I don’t remember if they gave a weight. Our cats took to it right away. We had the old litter box next to it with very little litter in it which they didn’t like so they used the litter robot. That was after we put them in the robot to show them where they should go now. They have special litter bags you can buy, but we get the 8 gallon garbage bags which fits perfectly. We also bought the steps that can be added on. With our 3 cats the bag gets changed usually 2 times a week.

How long will it be till Samantha is at her full weight? Might be a good idea to wait till then and use their free trial offer.

Thank you for the information.  They say that it can take 3 years for Maine Coons to get to full size.  She is growing really fast right now though.

Yes from Bayonne.  It's about a 2 hr drive.    After I booked I was thinking instead of paying $30/day to park for 23 days we could rent a car for 1 day each way.   Looks like there are a couple rentals near the cruise port.  Will have to price them up as it has to be alot cheaper than parking our car.

  • Check out this website, we have used them a few times when sailing out of Bayonne, years ago.

Check out the hotel below, it wasn't on their lists of hotels when we used them last, but it is something to consider since you are going to need 2 car rentals, and I can't think even for 1 day is going to be cheap in that area.

Your total would be like $365 for  hotel( 1 night)23 days of  parking, they will shuttle you back and forth from cruiseport also, plus you get to sleep in the hotel the night before, no worries of car trouble on your ride that day of the cruise.

    Hotel has amazing reviews:

I only know that when we pet sat at our DD’s, my husband commented on the litter box. That the litter disappeared and he didn’t have to do anything but feed the cats and feed and walk the dog.
(I was busy enjoying watching the ocean and reading)

I asked my DD about the magical litter box and she said best investment ever.

Does she have the Litter Robot or a different one?  This is the first automatic scooper we have tried and love it. Totally agree about the best money spent.

@Ozark_Kid @DaniDanielle     Eric was saying last night maybe we should do a b2b on Anthem in January.     when he has these brain storms I don't miss out - LOL!

My concern was all the balconies are filled up.

Nope, to my surprise this morning they have added a bunch of balconies for all 3 of the 11 night sailings in January

I called clubroyale to see what kind of discount prime members get for a non -casino cruise.     When she told me the price, we were shocked - it is 40% off the online price I got with diamond balcony discount, 55+ discount and resident discount.

I told Eric and he said book it Now!

So we are now booked for 11 night sailing on 1/09 and will stay on board for the 11 night sailing on 1/20.      Woohoo!    22 nights on Anthem - cannot wait😀

Unfortunately we could not get same cabin for the b2b but will survive as they make it nice and easy to move and we are only going a couple cabins away - maybe we'll have same cabin steward.

That’s going to be a fun cruise. Love b2b cruises. Keep checking and see if one of the same cabins opens up.

What happens when you turn over in bed and lie on it? It must wake you up in a hurry. I hope it gets better fast!

I hardly ever turn over in bed.  That's why I love our tempurpedic mattress.  It envelopes you and prevents you from tossing and turning. Wonderful nights sleep.

Not only has pool season ended but Christmas is almost here. The ice rink & holiday shops (all 100+) going up in Byrant Park. Right in the middle of Manhatten, on 42nd street halfway between Grand Central Station and Times Square.

Memories.  Many, many years ago, I worked at an advertising company across the street from Bryant Park.  Back then it was just a park, no exhibits or anything else except lots of ummmm people who drank their beverage out of a bottle in a paper bag.

The machine I won on is an old fashioned 5 line spitfire.
minimum bet 0.25 on one line.
you can set it to gamble 25, 50 cents or a 1.00.
but you can do a max bet of 50 x your bet.

I was playing 5 lines

machine set at 0.25

and I was playing 15 coins a spin. ($3.75)

I got the 60,000

for 3x triple 7 .

won something trivial on another line.

coming home with over $15,000 plus some odd bills and a w2. from this win.
nit won 2 more jackpot

Below is a picture of my winning spin.

I will try to find a better picture also of machine.

those are the only pictures I can find

CC acting goofy.

SURPRISE!!!!!!!!!!

Good night

sleep tight.

Well I just saw this and thought I would go check out my RC account.  I opened it up and noticed our points from last week cruise were already posted to the account.  I held my iPad out to show Sharon the points and said, notice anything, she said, yes, our cruise is canceled…..WHAT…. Yes the Hawaiian cruise is showing canceled.  I didn’t notice it, I just noticed the points were already added and was showing her the points.  I can’t believe it.  They have not sent an email yet.

Thank you, Lenny,

Baby let's cruise, awayyyyyyyyy from heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere,  I love that song both by Smokey Robinson and duet by Gwyneth Paltrow and Huey Lewis.

My youngest daughter always liked singing my song collection with me.  The Gwyneth and Huey version was a favorite for us to sing together.

Oh no! I am always so sad and tired of these cruise cancellations. :classic_sad: We thought our December and February cruises were safe out of Florida...but no, they were cancelled in the August blitz. :classic_sad: We never did receive an email? :classic_huh:

You actually live in Manhattan !!! How cool it must be.... Pre-Covid I had a dream of living a whole month in Manhattan. To feel the city. As it is, it takes me a week to get over the jet leg, and by that time, we're usually leaving.

Went for a walk on our favourite local-ish beach on Thursday.  Beautiful weather.  Even a few people swimming. Probably one of the last warm days now, weather forecast is predicting rain and cool temperatures for the next two weeks
