Storm has blown over, it was pretty wild. Hail about the size of marbles and heavy rain and wind.

See if this video works, this was just before I went into the house and headed for the basement.

Glad to hear the storm has passed!

A question for anyone who has done  escorted land tours. Our DD and SIL booked a 10 tour of Peru, including internal flights. Nice trip.
Today they were notified it was canceled for lack of enough participants.
It’s Trafalgar, which they used in the Balkans.
She asked if I know any tour company she can try.
I said Globus  and Collette, which I haven’t used.
I did Kenya with Abercrombie and Kent and thought they were great.
Any other recommendations?

We have been on many Globus tours and they have all been great.

Just like Lisa and I.

We went to the Jays game and we now both have Covid. Even with 2 doses and a booster it has kicked us both hard.

Feel better, we both had it after our last cruise, fortunately only had a day each of not feeling well.  Thank goodness for the vaccines.  It definitely is spreading again.

On our way to Cocoa Beach for Mariner tomorrow (three negative tests!) we needed to stop for gas and I saw a sign for Bucees.  Since everyone here has talked about it we decided to stop.
Most of the gas spots were busy so I pulled behind a car.  After a minute or 2 I realized nobody was pumping.  In fact, both cars were empty!  Looking around, many of the cars were empty!  People had used the gas pumps as parking since they were closer than the actual parking.  How inconsiderate.
Finally found an unblocked pump, got gas and moved to a parking space.  Went inside and WOW!  It was huge and had an enormous amount of stuff.  Didn’t get anything except a bottle of water.

We stopped at Bucees for the 1st time on our last trip through, couldn't believe how crowded it was.  We gassed up then went in to grab lunch and use the facilities.  If it is easy to get to will go again but won't go out of our way.

Ah. The Benny Hill show. Really enjoyed it when it made its way to this side of the pond.

My dad loved Benny Hill, my favorite was Monty Python , one of the funniest plays we ever saw was Spamalot

I'm going to assume you look pretty much like her too right?

I'm a natural blonde!   The braids I had done in CoCoCay were not whole head😃

Glad to hear the storm past.   I hope that isn't coming way, looks pretty wild.

One of my favorite shows of all time was M*A*S*H.  I had the pleasure of talking to Loretta Swit (Hot Lips) on the phone when she was appearing at a trade show where Jack was exhibiting.  He quickly phoned me and handed her the phone.  At first she asked "who the hel* are you"? haha.   He explained I was a huge fan.  She took the phone, was gracious and told me she never experienced again the same wonderful camaraderie that she experienced with everyone on that show.  I loved that the show was both funny and poignant.  Very well written and acted.

To this day, when I want to chuckle,  I YouTube Carol Burnett's take off on Gone with the Wind, "Went with the Wind".  So funny.

M*A*S*H was a great show. I think Loretta Swit's character, Margaret, evolved more than all the others over the span of the show.

Might have been B&W version

I have that one, plus many other original posters from the 60’s and 70’s stored in my attic.  I may have to go thru them sometime to see if any are worth anything.  I remember there being an Easy Rider poster among them.

I think her character showed more compassion/empathy after Frank left the show.

As pompous as Charles was, he did have heart.

The farewell show can still be seen on You Tube "Goodbye, Farewell and Amen.  It was not the last episode filmed which was the one where they bury the time capsule. It was aired before the "Goodbye" episode.

Benny Hill Show

Loved the Benny Hill show.

When we were in Southampton last time, I wanted to go to the cemetery where he is buried.  Maybe next year when we are back.

The "Time Capsule" show is one I'll never forget. I still remember where I was when I watched the farewell show. M*A*S*H deserved the ending that it got.

I did not know that " Time Capsule" was filmed after the finale.

M*A*S*H is one of those shows I watch an episode or two every night.  That is, except tonight when we binged the first 4 episodes of the new Bosch series.

I was about 7 pages behind today, because we spent it watching our grandkids.  Heavy rain here all day long.

I remember the conversation on here about defective Samsung refrigerators and thinking we’ve been lucky with our 10 year old model. Well , today it started leaking and my husband with his one day old new knee is mopping up the floor with a deep knee bend . No pain , yet !

Jury duty on a civil case which lasted three months and the award was 2.5 million dollars . Pediatric gastroenterologist sued Children’s Hospital because they didn’t renew his contract.  After 8 days of deliberation they decided to settle.

I’ve come to the conclusion after 2 days I’m not Greg’s Linda and definitely not a saint .
