Royal Caribbean Cruisers -- How Are Things Where You Are? (was "Routine" 😁 day in lockdown... how was yours?)

Back into routine trying to get fit(ter) for our next cruise.  I never really started back at the gym after getting covid in Feb so I'm hoping to motivate myself into going again. Not easy as I'm not a natural gym bunny 🤣

Back on our vegetarian diet and stopped the booze for the next four weeks ( well apart from Hubby's birthday later this week !!)

Oops and we're visiting friends at the weekend. Socialising getting in the way.

Fingers crossed we get some results 🙏

Just off to find a 'healthy' recipe for chocolate cake for Gary's birthday 😬

Happy birthday to your husband Sue.

Thank you for all the Birthday wishes. I don't have anything special planned except for mowing the grass. Not sure what Linda has planned for me. She did give me a present by taking the dogs out at 6am and letting me sleep in. That was nice.

Thank you again my friends for being the best. Cheers to all of you!

Happy birthday Greg.

It is cabin 11629 on Oasis that I am thinking about booking.    I like to try different cabin types and we love to hang out on the balcony just not sure if we will miss the ocean view.

Sometimes I miss the Ocean view, but it is nice to listen to the music in Central Park at night.  That being said, we just booked an OVB on the hump on Voyager for a New England cruise this fall, and have JS booked for the next four after that one, so I guess we will have our ocean views then.

First time I'm going on the Oasis.  (60 more days) lol

My g/f's picked the balcony overlooking Boardwalk.  #10723.

Something different.  Should be fun.  Too bad about those ugly slides that are there now.

No, I switched to embroidery... Too hot to knit here.

I started a goblin when I was in the army, a very big one, left it for other "projects" [see below], and got back to it when Covid made its unwelcomed appearance. Still trying hard to finish it.

Those of you who love Allure, which oceanview balcony cabins are the best to choose? I know on Liberty & Adventure, there's a couple of really neat corner aft cabins with huge balconies that we love. Is there any special cabin like that I should know about as we consider booking next summer when she moves to Galveston?

This conversation took place a short while after moving to Texas:

I ran into a neighbor once who said her son was so excited to be going to a Rangers game that night.  I asked if he's a sports fan and she said absolutely.  I told her he must love hockey.  She said not as much as baseball.  I asked if the Rangers play many games in Texas.  We finally figured out we were both talking about two completely different teams/sports.  I had no idea Texas had a baseball team!. At least I knew what sport the NJ Rangers play....slinking away in shame.

Once at work in TX, we had spirit day when the Rangers (baseball, lol) played against the Yankees in the World Series.  I was the only one to show up wearing a Yankees cap.  i was politely told by my boss to please remove it!!  Honest!  Texans are very proud and passionate about their TX sports.  Apparently, I'm not.  And yes, I removed my cap.  I never argue with the person who signs my paychecks. 😉

I have been to many Texas rangers games (but not recently) there were more Yankees jerseys than rangers. I totally dislike the cowboys ( did like them in the Landry days) I had proudly wear my Buffalo bills shirts.

Greg have a happy birthday, what libations are you going to celebrate with 😁

It looks like an eyesore and takes away from the view and outdoor movies/music.

The slide is before the aqua theater.  It is pretty quiet when shows are performing.  Honest!

We tried out a Boardwalk Balcony on Allure - cabin 10325 (across from 10723) and enjoyed the view of Aqua theater and some ocean views too.     Allure does not yet have the purple slide.

It is fun to watch the boardwalk activities!   I am sure you and your G/F will have a great time🤩

We are booked for our first sailing on Oasis for 8/28.

Most sunny warm humid day here with storms approaching early evening.

Eric and I will be heading down to our LBI house later this week (not sure which day yet) and will stay there till middle of next week as our first renter of the season is to arrive Friday 5/27.   We will probably tell them they can arrive early on Thurs 5/26 to avoid memorial day weekend traffic.   They will be there until morning of June 11th then Eric and I will be back for 2 weeks in June.

It's going to be rough since I am used to having the house for most of June for our family but we did not do winter renters this year and had a previous renter that wanted 5/27 thru 6/1.   No, Not the can opener Lady😁

Debbie, do not return, repeat, do not return to your LBI house on 6/2 😉 It will still be occupied ...

Pre Birthday cocktails at this new cocktail bar in downtown Lee’s Summit. First a espresso martini now a single barrel old fashioned. Best dinner at a new Latin restaurant.

Cheers to all my cruise friends wishing me a happy birthday.
