How about we condense stuff for Robyn.

We all love cruising and our families.

some of us love our jobs.

Some of us have dealt with illnesses and other setbacks and we all are here for each other.

We enjoy certain tv shows and movies and books also.

We especially love food and drinks!!!!!All kinds😃

Add whatever needs adding…….

I forgot, how could I but we all love Dani❤️

Graham,  glad you can enjoy your backyard.  So peaceful. Our temp today is 107 again with100+ temps predicted for the next 7 days.  Probably beyond that too.  I don't remember when it rained last or when temps were below 100.

That is unbelievably hot. Is that typical for Dallas?

Graham does have a lovely garden!

I said that I would take photos of the garden. The circular garden in the front yard we put in last year. The long garden, and rock/ garden-y thing is a month old.

The neighbours are relieved, because it replaced a horrible black fence and a rotting retaining wall.

As a bonus, there’s a photo of Thor being lazy. Staying off furniture lasted about 2 minutes.

I don’t know how to organize photos nicely.

I just found this thread! How could I have missed it all this time?

Love the banter 😀 Now I have to figure out how I will possibly read over 2600 pages to catch up?

Feel free to give me the coles notes version on what gets discussed here.

Welcome!  Not only is it hard to read all of the past, it's easy to miss some of the current post.  I missed your post and would of totally missed it if @Ocean Boy didn't welcome you.   Enjoy and good luck keeping up.

We have been in Europe for a river cruise the last few weeks.  Today I went to the grocery to fill up my empty refrigerator.  I knew prices had gone up, but was quite surprised that eggs were $4.15 a dozen.  And that’s the Publix store brand ones, not the fancy ones!  Is South Carolina an anomaly or is this everywhere?

Haven't looked at eggs lately, we usually buy 2 or 3 dozen at a time.

Price of gas went down here in Virginia now to $4.19 a gallon.

I guess it is possible that someone could have b4 and another have b5 strain.  🤔

Probably best to let your DD the Doctor handle as she wishes.  😃

In theory, is it possible for someone with the B4 variant to recover and then become infected with the B5 variant in the same household ?

Probably a long shot scenario that's unlikely to happen. But if someone is around family members with compromised immune systems or work in an enviroment as such, I see nothing wrong with people being extra-extra cautious, if that is their choice.

Oh yes, unfortunately very typical.

Read that are average summer we hit 100 , 20 times we are about 25 so far , definitely one of the hottest I have seen in my 40 years in Dallas, but not close to the record.

Eggs in my area are around $3.50 for a basic store brand dozen.    If you want to get the fancy cage free, brown, etc etc expect to pay $4.50 to $8 a dozen.     I was shocked when I went to the store and a jar of Hellmann's mayo was $5.99 - I think that doubled in price this year.    Everything costs more, except for toilet paper and paper towels - they seem to be the same as 1 or 2 years ago.     I really don't know how some families are keeping their head above the water with the cost of everything.

I would love to hear about your river cruise in Europe.

Good to see you are still with us.

Gas has gone down to $4.55 / gal in our area.    We had reached $5.09 end of May/beginning of June.   Let's get it back in the low $3's to at least where we were right before covid (I prefer even lower but I'll accept 3's easier than current).

My son said remember when we thought over $4.00 a gallon was  ridiculous.  Now we are happy to see $4.55!

Well, some of us went crazy when gas went over $1.00, gas pumps weren't designed for that. The most they could handle was 99.9 cents
