Royal Caribbean Cruisers -- How Are Things Where You Are? (was "Routine" 😁 day in lockdown... how was yours?)

Recommended Posts

Visited the National Portrait Gallery on our last day in Canberra.  As well as the free gallery of painted & photographic portraits, there was a paid exhibition of prize winners with an adult & smaller children’s section. This was my favourite from the 8-11 year age group.F25B842C-FBBF-4480-8855-43011160E337.thumb.jpeg.665735398ef76058f4208dac30df0531.jpeg

I enjoyed all your pictures from Mystic.  Andy used to live in Mystic, and his son and family live nearby.  When we visit them we need to broaden our horizons in order to enjoy what the town has to offer. Thanks for sharing.

Good news is this is not my ankle.  Bad news is it's Vikki's.  We were at her brothers new house a couple hours away for dinner and I had left to come home and let Merlin out when my daughter let me know that this happened.  With so many cars in the driveway Vikki went to get something out of her car and stepped off the edge of the driveway into a ditch.

Her brother took her to the hospital and apparently it's broken and dislocated.  They were only there 45 minutes and apparently they are now on their way home (to her parents place that's close to her brothers).  Just waiting to find out the full extent of her injury and what the treatment plan is.  Looks like she will be off work for at least the next little while.

Yes I was nervous all day. Too many people. Too much chaos.

So true Greg.  ‘They’ have taken all of the fun out of traveling.

This current trip… note to self…..never fly into or cruise from Vancouver again. ‘Dog and pony’ show at both the airport and cruise terminal.  My opinion.

I have taken approximately 75 cruises the only time we almost missed our flight was in Vancouver, terrible experience.

A few pictures from the party yesterday.   First, the important stuff like cupcakes.  These were delicious.  My favorite was the chocolate/ peanut butter ones.

Son-in-law lined a small football field in the back yard, so the kids could all play some football theme games.

They staged everything in their garage, and under a canopy we took over.  Great idea to keep the mess out of the house.

Today, we dodged rainstorms all day. We were lucky that the sun came out for the football game our granddaughter was cheering at.  Their team won 40-20.

Just at the end of the game, the storm clouds rolled in.  And we saw this…..

They were on a heading toward Sue’s house.  I am thinking maybe Rick read some of the things she has been saying about him, and he called in some strike teams. 🤣

I may have dodged a storm and bullet at the same time.

We have our computer in our upstairs office.

We both share, but have our own separate log-ins.

Unfortunately for the other half (spouse).

He cannot log into CC with out booting me off and then it will not delete the password for attempts on end.  His password comes up and CC says information wrong.

So the kind hearted great wonderful man he is, says and I quote "......I will let you have CC, I'm to busy right now to go on it......."

Joint commission must be coming to the hospital.

Be safe

@Ocean Boy I have found the photos quite interesting.

Thanks, I took a few more but I wasn't sure if folks wanted to see them. Maybe tomorrow, when I have faster internet, I'll post a few more. I go to the Seaport a lot as I find the grounds rather peaceful later in the day and since I'm a member I don't have to pay everytime I enter.

Kind of... it didn't spend the whole night in the oven, without the "kishkes", hard boiled eggs, onions, honey, etc.

During the winter, DH's "chulent" is famous.... here's one pic of winter chulent --

BTW, he makes his own horse radish with beets for the gefilte fish, burning eyes included....😉

That's exactly what our eldest has done before leaving us and heading home to beat the traffic....

I never cook chulent overnight as my mother did.  I start it at the crack of dawn and let it cook the whole day.  Comes out good enough.  Can't remember the last time I made it.

I know the hospital that you are referencing. My father died in a NYC hospital that had an awful reputation .

At the time, not sure about now, there were only 2 hospitals in Rockland County.

So sorry about your father.

Mystic Seaport was one of our favorite spots when we lived in NY. Quiet, quaint and a nice peaceful vibe to relax and recharge.  Plus, I recall a great ice cream place.  Your pictures are hardly boring.

I tried that but when I scroll down to get more info it overlaps my previous screen shot. I have to figure out a way to screen shot and crop so that I don’t have reoccurring charges, if that makes sense.

Hi Greg,

When I want to take a screenshot on my iPhone or iPad of something like a recipe that extends beyond the visible screen, I take the shot and then the “shot” drops down to the lower left corner of my screen. I tap on the “shot”  and then at the top of my screen,  I’m given the choice of how and where to save it.  Then I choose Full Screen and save to Files.

I took some screenshots a few minutes ago that I hope will show you what I do.
Hope they attach okay. I used the page that you posted your statement on.

Ouch. Sorry this happened to her and hopefully it will be a speedy recovery.

How would you know that they did not take drugs ?

If they took drugs I’m sure it wasn’t the kind to enhance their game.
