Royal Caribbean Cruisers -- How Are Things Where You Are? (was "Routine" 😁 day in lockdown... how was yours?)

Won’t you be celebrating your 50th anniversary, then ? How romantic is that ? Will you be there for Carnival or Valentines Day ?

You "got" me, Judy. As a matter of fact, we're flying out on Valentine's Day, but it was not planed as such.

It is very difficult to find direct flights to Venice, and also at reasonable times. No way I'll fly out late evening or very early in the morning -- it's a deal breaker for us.

So we had to adjust our stay there according to the flights we found....

Another "requirement" was to find a flat with a fully equipped kitchen (not just microwave and refrigerator), so that DH can "exercise" his talents... Last time we were in Venice it was actually the first time we stayed there and not in Mestre. It was so much better.

Early in the morning we went to Rialto market, and, in seeing all this market had to offer, DH declared that his dream is to come back one day, rent an apt and cook from the amazing products on display.

Being also his birthday, hopefully he'll get his wish, and me -- some excellent meals... I've found an amazing apt, with a fully equipped modern kitchen - gas stove [a must] + oven.

I'm wary about the weather in February, but after Covid hiatus, I'm willing to take my chances.

Que sera, sera...

This afternoon was a difficult one to be with our grandkids.  We knew it was only a matter of time before Lucy would pass on.

So sorry, Mark, that your daughter has to go through Lucy's passing (may she RIP) on top of everything she's going through.

Wishing her strength and hopes that this ordeal will soon be behind her.

When our Gracie passed a couple of month ago, the vet who put her to sleep gave us her paw print.

We were checking to see if we can fit all the suitcases in the Highlander.   Our cruise friends sold there large van.  While checking we found the clothes I have been missing for the last few weeks.  😆 I didn't fully unpack from the Hilton Head trip.  🙄

Eric is famous for doing that.     The first cruise we went on after restart I discovered a laundry bag full of underwear still in his case (was there for over  1.5 yrs).   That large suitcase is only used for cruises.

Have you tried Sabor?  I haven't yet.  We will on Allure.   Trying to decide to do it for a lunch or supper.  I think we will stick with supper.  I just wish I knew if it was better than the average Mexican restaurant.

Is Sabor available for lunch?    I think our sailing on Allure (in 2020) only had it open for dinner.     We really enjoyed it, I hope you and Sharon do too!

We had a meat hangover when were done eating so I highly recommend you have a light lunch with no meat if you go to Sabor's for dinner.

Wow.  I sat on a beach in Aruba.  I'm lame. But I did switch hotels halfway through. Rented a car & drove 10 minutes to the next hotel. 😊

You sure did pack in a lot. But it makes sense, as long as you are on that side of the pond, try to get as much in as possible. I'd actually like to do everything you did but maybe over 4-5 weeks.

My life goal is to find a Sugar Daddy and take a TA from the USA to Europe in the spring, spend the summer doing Europe, and then take a TA back to the USA in the fall, and then spend the winter doing the Caribbean via cruise ship!

Just need to lose weight, get a face lift, get a tummy tuck, get a boob lift, and find a Sugar Daddy!

Are you thinking of Samba grill in the solarium at night?

I doubt I'll ever do the trip again but you are right it needs to be stretched out over a longer time. DW simply won't fly that long any more. I can't even convince my wife to do a transatlantic or a Norwegian fjords cruise now.  I'm hoping for 2026 for my 60th birthday she'll relent and do one of those but I suspecting I'll still be getting resistance.

After all, it did say it was selfie worthy.  Reese’s peanut butter cup for me, and strawberry cheesecake for Susan.  Yum.

Looks like a balanced meal to me.

Ironically,  I need to do the same to become a Sugar Daddy.  Except substitute win the lottery in place of a boob lift.😁

I am recording it and will watch it at some point but I am not a Jerry O'Connell fan so I might end up passing.

I am not a fan of his either but, hopefully, there is much more to the show than him.
