Royal Caribbean Cruisers -- How Are Things Where You Are? (was "Routine" 😁 day in lockdown... how was yours?)

Recommended Posts

Has anyone tried using Google maps lately, for walking directions?   Since we have been walking to different places in Florida, it has tried to send us some crazy ways.

For instance, if I want to get from our hotel to this intersection, it is 0.7 miles and a straight route if driving and there are sidewalks along this route.

However, if I change it to walking, it sends me on a 3 mile journey which doesn’t have sidewalks all the way.

Anyway, not following Google, we went to the Rustic Inn for lunch today.  Another great lunch with too much food.

Our diet starts tomorrow after we get home.  Have to lose before the next cruise.

@lenquixote66Jamie Dornan was recently the lead  in The Tourist which @sgmn recommended.  Be interested in what you think of that limited series.

Hope Mallory recovers well. Frustrating for her not to able to join her team members on court for 6 weeks.

Thank you ,yes,very frustrating.

Jamie Dornan was lead singer of Sons of Jim

I am ready to get rid of cable but I am outvoted here.  I do enjoy the mindless entertainment of a few of the Housewives also🤪However, I would be fine with plain old tv.

I can do without cable too.I was very happy with regular TV from age 9 till I discovered Cable.

A few years ago my children bought me a collection of old radio shows on a CD ,about 100 episodes many of which I remember as a kid.

I have never tried google for walking and sounds like I don't want to.😁

That lunch looks delicious, just made me realize I didn't have lunch today.

The contractor has been here for a couple of hours fixing our front door that was damaged by strong winds about a month ago.      Good thing it is in the 70's here today because we didn't have any doors hanging for about 1.5 hours while he worked on removing/replacing the entire door jamb and replacing exterior vinyl trim that got bent up when storm door was hanging on and banging against the house.

Happy to say doors are back up and he is making some final tweaks and we will be able to go in and out our front door again!   Yay!    Will be nice to take our luggage out the front on Sunday😊

Tonight is formal night so I thought I would post my dress. I don’t usually post what I’m going to wear because I wear typical clothes so nothing of interest. We do like to dress up for formal nights. When I saw this dress I just had to have it. It has seashells in the design. Perfect for a cruise. Not a color I would have picked, but in formal length they only made it in that color. Tadashi did make one in blue which I really wanted, but it wasn’t long. 😩  I looked everywhere for it in blue but never found it so I gave up and bought this one.

edited - I’m shocked I was able to post a picture. I will try to post some more tonight after dinner or tomorrow. 🤞🏻

Rustic Inn has always been a favorite of ours. When we started eating there it was $9.99 for all you can eat garlic crabs.

Stunning dress.  Love it!!!  I think I prefer this color vs. blue.     We, too, love to get us dressed up formal nights.

Glad to hear there are others who enjoy dressing for formal nights.  One thing I have noticed on our cruises since the restart, is that many more were dressing for formal night than were pre-Covid.

First formal night lines for photos were very long, but not as long on the second night.

There's no doubt in my mind you will have lost it all with the many miles that you and Susan walk daily!

Great news about your front door, Debbie!!  Does your cruise begin Sunday, or are you staying in a hotel near the Port on Sunday, and beginning your cruise on Monday?
