I am adding  How the Grinch Stole Christmas, the original cartoon, not the dumb movie and A Charlie

Brown Christmas.  They capture the true spirit of Christmas, in my opinion!!!

I should have added all the cartoon classics

A Charlie Brown Christmas

How the Grinch Stole Christmas

Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer (and for that matter all the Rankin-Bass animated shows)

The Polar Express

Klaus

Prep and Landing

A Christmas Carol (Jim Carey-Disney)

Mikey's Once Upon a Christmas

Nightmare Before Christmas ( More Halloween to me)

It has been a very emotional couple of days. First our football team won our Thanksgiving day rivalry 55 to zero. Then I had to say goodbye to our seniors whom I have so much admiration and love for and whom I could write about for hours if I wasn't so tired of crying. So for now I will just leave you with tonight's sunset....

Is being the team Doc a part of your official duties or is more of a volunteer thing a little of both.

I coached high school rugby for 4 years. You become so attached to the kids. I have few who still text me from time to time to say hi. I miss this kids so much.

It’s the most wonderful day of the year.

Embarkation day

We got into Honolulu about 315 pm. Sadly our prearranged shuttle was very late and we never left the airport until 430 pm. That’ll teach me to try a save a few bucks. You get what you pay for.

We had a great dinner at a restaurant in the Royal Hawaiian resort called Azure. They had a tasting menu that sampled local delicacies. It was right on the beach with a good view. Sorry no food porn. I was a little absent minded yesterday.

After that we wondered and shopped until we were too tired. Lots of great shopping in unique indoor outdoor venues.

This morning we packed up and are waiting for our ride to the ship. It scheduled for 1015. It’s a different co. than the shuttle I used yesterday. I hope this outfit is more punctual.

That looks like the International Market Place.  I always liked the original, before they put in all the high end shops.

Embarkation Day here as well.  Hopped out of an Uber at Terminal A in Miami at 11:30 this morning.  Gave bags to porters (bags in room by 2:30). Stepped aboard Symphony at 11:35.  Best embarkation ever (suite line helped).

Have a great cruise. Make sure to stop by the Schooner bar and say hello to bartender Donald from Greg "Sea Dog." Have him make you "Sea Dog's Vieux Carre".

1oz Whistle Pig Rye

1oz Cognac

1 oz Sweet Vermouth

1oz B&B

2 dashes angostura bitters

Orange peel fro garnish.

Very tasty and Donald is a great bartender.

So as the school district physician part of my responsibilities is providing medical coverage at home football games.  What I actually do is cover home games, climb on school busses and travel with them to away games because I don't trust anyone else to help them if they get hurt and I don't want them to have to deal with a stranger, go to practices, tape them up prior to games, help them recover from their injuries, watch game films with them, go to lifting workouts, and be their ear for them when they they feel like bi!ching about a coach and sometimes they just want to chat about personal issues that have nothing to do with football.

It's a pretty popular shirt. I'd like to think there is only one real Sea Dog. 😜

If any of those boys don’t have Dads, your care and concern would mean the absolute world to them.

All the boys though are so fortunate to have you in their lives.

As a mum of a sports mad son, I thank you for what you do.

The other Christmas movies that are on Netflix, are great for watching when doing the ironing.

Die Hard - I love that movie and have watched it multiple times - but it’s just not a Christmas movie for me.  Our favourite cinema screens it every Christmas. This year it’s with a live band.

Elf - agree that on first watching I didn’t get it.  Second watching, I appreciated it more.

Awesome stuff. Thank you for doing this. While it’s not foolproof, kids involved in high  school sports are at substantially lower risk of drug addiction. They also tend to have higher graduation rates than the population at large. What you do helps build the next generation.
