We had to pay $2500 in May last year for Noordam, Sydney to Honolulu - 14 days and 10 days in Waikikki.  Soon as you mention, age over 70, pre existing heart conditions and the good old USA, insurance prices skyrocket.

Good to hear your MIL is still going well at 98, a very good innings indeed, hope she makes a century.

Much as I love Hawaii and used to frequently stopover en route to the mainland, $2500 you could have a very good holiday in Aus for 24 days, with free medical.  I think the Insurance Industry will price itself out of the market.  They seem to want the premiums without any risk.

On the last ferry cruise I booked in Australia, I couldn't even get any insurance from the company I had bought premiums from annually without claiming!  When I phoned them they said it was because it was longer than 4 months in advance!

I like cats, I  just don't like that rat looking Bug. Sorry Capt Kate, now I am banned from Celebrity after only one cruise on Solstice.1180918589_th(8).jpg.aad39841862d180ea1407df16cb5c147.jpg

Bug grows on you and if you like Capt Kate thrown in (not overboard) you will surely be happy 😁

It’s probably just advertising hype but they are accepting applications from Australia.
We have more chance of starting cruises, let’s face it.

You need to be a crown & anchor member but apparently your Celebrity captain’s club will do.
AUS for the country.

Good work @Kiwi KruzerDavid.

Quantam starts in 2 weeks in Singapore.

Navagator is supposed to do trails the end of December out of Florida, which is going to be a worry??

Serenade is still off the the Dominican Republic doing circles in the Caribbean.   I have heard reports of crew returning to it .
I think we may see it making a move early next year.

Looking good.
