H2OH! Posted September 30, 2020 #1 Share Posted September 30, 2020 Looks like Apex is on the move again - this time to Ponta Delgada....I wish Celebrity would make an announcement of whether or not Apex is coming to the US anytime soon.
wrk2cruise Posted September 30, 2020 #2 Share Posted September 30, 2020 This was in the Captains Club Newsletter that came out today. We are thrilled to share that Celebrity Apex arrived in Southampton on Tuesday, September 22nd. This is Celebrity Apex’s first stop since leaving the shipyard where she is preparing for her Trans-Atlantic voyage to enter US waters and arrive in Miami. We can’t wait for you to experience all Celebrity Apex has to offer.

It seems that CC members are more up to date than the Captains Club!

My sense is that it's going to sail to FL very soon. I'm scheduled for November 14th but have no desire to sail that date. Just waiting to see what the whole story is. It's a casino comped cruise so we've only paid Port Fees and taxes which always are refunded if you don't sail.

LWeiler77 Posted October 1, 2020 #9 Share Posted October 1, 2020 Where is she sailing over the winter? My husband and I are booked on her when she moves to the Mediterranean for her summer cruises in 2021, so I'm following where she's going until then! Yeah, I've been looking there, but was wondering if anyone was actually booked on anything that was sailing for certain. I guess I just like the first-hand accounts - there's only so much you can get off of the main website! 🙂

I am positive those cruises will happen. 🤗 happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

upwarduk Posted October 1, 2020 #14 Share Posted October 1, 2020 According to a report on Social Media, from a TA , Apex will be making for the Bahamas after Ponta Delgada, where she will stay for a few days. She will then make her way to Fort Lauderdale, arriving on October 26th. Not sure why she is taking so long. 1

Since she hasn’t sailed with paying passengers yet, there aren’t any first hand accounts. The good news is Apex is on her way to Florida. Now we just have to stay tuned. 😊

Because the Captain's Club magazine is a glossy publication that has to go to print and can never be truly up to date (or indeed sometimes, correct). You do the best thing coming here for information. It's what I do. Booked on Apex next October and hoping I can be on the ship then. Phil Maybe things are different in the UK, but here the Captains Club "From the Bridge" newsletter isn't a printed glossy publication. Rather, it's a monthly email with links to each of its stories, a format that makes it very easy to keep up to date.

Not the same thing, but if you expect any official publication from Captain's Club that has probably been through proof reads and sign offs to be truly up to date then you are expecting too much. It's always been like this. Phil

Arrival dates sem to work with the lifting of CDC no sail order, must be a zillion things that have to be arranged before sailing from any port that was closed for so long! Many eyes will be on Celeb, Apex and the port... Edited October 1, 2020 by hcat

Rare eroller Posted October 1, 2020 #25 Share Posted October 1, 2020 She is on her way across the pond for sure. I wonder if she has a full crew compliment? If so I’m guessing she will be one of the very first ships to start cruising *if* the CDC no-sail order is not extended beyond October.
