The area has had even more rainfall than they are accustomed to. 

 

Haines suffered a massive mudslide 2 days ago.  Homes were washed away, there were several deaths, and at last report, 2 people were still missing.  

 

What an awful time for the people of Southeast Alaska.

Cruise Critic needs to "broaden" their "Like" option to posts as other web sites have done.  Whomever monitors this Forum:  Check out Amtrak Unlimited Disussion Forum for their options on their "Like" button.
