Taters Posted December 6, 2020 #1 Share Posted December 6, 2020 This is a developing story: https://www.krbd.org/2020/12/05/officials-recommend-evacuations-for-low-lying-areas-along-ketchikan-creek/ The area has had even more rainfall than they are accustomed to. Haines suffered a massive mudslide 2 days ago. Homes were washed away, there were several deaths, and at last report, 2 people were still missing. What an awful time for the people of Southeast Alaska. 2

It is also relevant to those of us who have been to Ketchikan and are familiar with the area and the locations impacted. We appreciate the information from the OP. 15

Cruise Critic needs to "broaden" their "Like" option to posts as other web sites have done. Whomever monitors this Forum: Check out Amtrak Unlimited Disussion Forum for their options on their "Like" button. 18 hours ago, Taters said: This is a developing story: https://www.krbd.org/2020/12/05/officials-recommend-evacuations-for-low-lying-areas-along-ketchikan-creek/ 2020 is the year that keeps on "giving and giving"! 😢
