Yes, we'll go... even with masks, social distancing, etc.  We would have to get to a departure port, though, and back home again..  Don't know when the rules for air travel are going to change.

Yes, absolutely! And as variants spread that change the game, I would not risk the life of someone I love by taking them on a cruise with no vaccine protection regardless of age.

I think all guests AND all cruise staff being vaccinated would make me the most comfortable for cruising.  We are booked on a November cruise and hope to be able to sail based on those conditions.

I will cruise if it is required that all passengers and crew are vaccinated. I will wear the mask on and off , if allowed, depending on where I am and the location of other people,to me. I would also like to see regular covid testing  while on board.

There is another part of this equation that most are ignoring - the wishes of the officials in the countries we will want to visit.  I was on the Westerdam last February and not a single passenger or crew member had COVID-19.  Our first port was Manila and their officials decided while we were on the way there that they didn't want us.  We then went to Taiwan for a 2-day stop, but were told to leave after one day.  Then went to Thailand to disembark all passengers and end the cruise, and after we had all made flight arrangements the Thai Navy escorted us away from their shores before we got there.  Eventually, we were grateful that the Cambodian Government allowed us to land there.  I repeat; all this happened and not a single person onboard tested positive for the virus.  I have had the second shot for some time now and live near the Canadian border.  Do you think the Canadian Government would let me drive up to Vancouver for sightseeing?

Thank you for refreshing my memory--as if I will ever forget!  

 

I wondered last week when we had five consecutive days of daytime temperatures in the 50's and 60's, with Thursday being in the 70's, if I would be allowed into Quebec this summer from the only NH/Canada border crossing.  I missed my annual pilgrimage last summer, I fully understand why, and I am cautiously optimistic for this fall, if not summer.

If, if traveling to and from embarkation ports will be without hassles, and countries along the route allow excursions, and the situation is stable enough so that there will be no chance of sudden closure of ports, or god forbid refusal of disembarkation, then yes we will cruise when a vaccination is required.

Virgin Voyages is the latest line to announce that all crew and passengers will need to be vaccinated. I hope HAL/Carnival take note and requires the same.

All else being equal, I'd prefer that vaccinations be required for cruise ship passengers and crew.

I suppose I'll have to cancel as well and put off cruising until there is semblance of normalcy.  I don't plan to vaccinate and participate in real life trials for a rushed vaccine with so many unknowns.  I'm weary that bans against those who have chosen not to vaccinate will be widespread and an unacceptable part of the irritating nomenclature, "new norm."

The ONLY way that we will cruise (as of this time) is if everyone on board is vaccinated.   (And yes, that includes kids... A kids outbreak will effect everyone on board one way or another, and I am not willing to risk my valuable vacation time and money...)   

 

Masks while on board is not a deal breaker.  (Guess I am getting used to it) 

 

Masks on shore is something that is expected.    

 

BUT add to that, we will NOT cruise if the only way off the ship is on a company shore excursion.

 

In any case, we have until July to decide on our October sailing, so I guess it's just wait and see.

I am opposed to forced vaccinations.  These vaccines were brought out too fast and these are massive trials.  I do not even know what is in them.  Most people I know who have gotten the Moderna vaccine have gotten quite sick after the second shot.
