grapau27 Posted July 17, 2023 #2 Share Posted July 17, 2023 Thank you for today's daily reports Sandi. It is sunny and 64°F here at 10.00am. Most of us use emojis on our phones now 😂. I do not like tattoos. I am having a Penne pasta for lunch today. Prayers 🙏 for the safety of all of our friends especially on our care list. Take care and keep safe. I hope everyone has an enjoyable day. 24
StLouisCruisers Posted July 17, 2023 Author #3 Share Posted July 17, 2023 Good morning friends! Today it is 70F at this point and will be 92 and partly cloudy the remainder of the day. Thanks Rich @richwmn for our Daily and Fleet Report. We'll see you back here tomorrow.👋 Well I know I won't be celebrating getting a tattoo today nor do I have one already. I believe my youngest DGD has a small shark on her wrist since she's studying marine biology. I just saw quite a few underwater videos on her Instagram account. No thank you! In addition it's Wrong Way Corrigan day. He's a stunt pilot who ended up in Ireland instead of California! Enough said! I see Graham @grapau27 also went looking for an answer to the question Who is Wrong Way Corrigan? Thanks, Graham! And I will gladly celebrate emoji day but not too many at one time, please!😁 I say no to the quote today. Is that all there is on the penne pasta - pesto? Let's wait for Debbie @dfish to show us our options. Thanks Debbie! Home Team Punch sounds good, and another red wine but this time a Zinfandel. 🍷 Thanks Dixie @summer slope and Ann @cat shepard for your reports. Today's day in history involves murder, politics and intrique. Not my favorite way to celebrate a day. Prayers for all those in need of them. Our Daily friends, my DB and my friend's DB Mark. No new additions, please! Prayers also to the families of the latest shootings, flooding and any other disasters I may have forgotten. 🙏 Vanessa @JazzyV thank you for keeping us all straight on the Care and Celebrations going on. I'm praying for longer Celebration lists too. Enjoy your happy events and cruises!🥂 I spoke to DS last night and they had just returned from a weekend at Notre Dame for a soccer camp. Several of his old Jaguar teammates signed up too. The coaches at these universities like to keep their eyes open to new players down the road hoping they can tempt some to come join their squads. A good time was had by all!⚽ In a little over a week, things will start moving fast for DS's family as some of them re-situate in Dallas. I'll keep you posted. Our port of the day is Molde, Norway. I missed out on that port on a cancelled 2020 cruise. I can't recall if it was on any other cancelled cruises or a missed port but I should be able to get there someday! I love Norway! For all who have photos, please post them here for us. Here are the links to the last times Molde was our port, March 13, 2021 and January 31, 2022. Hope you all have a great day, this Monday in July. 😇 27

Rare Crazy For Cats Posted July 17, 2023 #5 Share Posted July 17, 2023 Good Morning Everyone, thank you for today’s daily fleet report. The rain has stopped. Yesterday we got about 2” of rain. Some friends north of us had tornado warnings but fortunately remained safe. I’ll pass on today’s meal suggestion since I don’t like pesto. DH finally packed for Zaandam. Nineteen years ago we got married in Provincetown. In September we will celebrate 29 years together. 42
RedneckBob Posted July 17, 2023 #6 Share Posted July 17, 2023 Thanks again for the early Fleet Update and General Info. National Tattoo Day. No thank you! Wrong way Corrigan Day. Many years ago an airline pilot made the mistake of landing his plane at McDill Air Force Base instead of Tampa Airport. I believe that pilot never flew commercial again. 🕺🕺🕺🕺🕺🕺🕺🕺🕺 Have been to Molde, Norway. It was a substitute port for a port we missed in Iceland. It was Molde, not Olde. 20

summer slope Posted July 17, 2023 #9 Share Posted July 17, 2023 (edited) Good morning. Installed a Ring doorbell and chime this weekend. And it works. I'm not the best of tech people but we did it. We are going to the Vet Clinic to bring Bailey's ashes home today. Prayers and congratulations to our list. You all are a great part of my day. Rare puppycanducruise Posted July 17, 2023 #11 Share Posted July 17, 2023 Good morning. Thanks for the Report. Cloudy and mild today, Bertie and I will go for a walk soon. No tattoos here. I'm not sure I can celebrate Wrong Way Corrigan, some say he did it on purpose as a publicity stunt. Some people use too many emojis, but they do come in handy. Interesting quote. The meal sounds good, looking forward to seeing recipes. The drink sounds good too, thanks for the recipe. I'll pass on the wine. Prayers for many. I hope there are lots of celebrations. @Crazy For Cats Happy Anniversary!🥂 26

Rare rafinmd Posted July 17, 2023 #13 Share Posted July 17, 2023 Thank you Rich, Sandi, Vanessa, Debbie, Dixie, and Ann. Corrigan was quite a schemer. No tatoos, and I don't really pay much attention to emojis. Happy Anniversary @Crazy For Cats. There's been some real intrigue in Russia over the years. I find the quote kind of strange, and have never been to Molde. The Pasta sounds nice today and I'll pass on an alternative. Oncologist today, Primary tomorrow, and Pulmonologist Wednesday. Mr. Boston Posted July 17, 2023 #16 Share Posted July 17, 2023 Good morning everyone. Thanks for the daily report. After the heavy rains that we had yesterday, today will be sunny and dry. Not a fan of tattoos. Fascinating story about wrong way Corrigan, great outcome to a mistake. What would we do without emojis?🤔 Interesting quote as the two sometimes go hand in hand! The meal suggestion sounds nice but we have leftovers of yesterday’s Zucchini Parmesan which was delicious but a LOT of work. The drink sounds good. I haven’t been to today’s port. Prayers for all on our prayer list. Cheers to those of you celebrating happy events. Happy 19th anniversary to @Crazy For Cats ! 24

Rare kazu Posted July 17, 2023 #19 Share Posted July 17, 2023 Thanks for our Monday Daily, Sandi. Pass on the tattoos, thanks. I’ll celebrate emoji days though - I tend to use them on occasion 😜 😂. I do like today in History. I have a lot of admiration for Catherine the Great. She did a lot to improve life in Russia. Not sure about today’s quote. Nothing wrong with love and the world would be a better place without gunpowder and guns IMO. It is so dark outside you would think it was 9 PM or so at night. Rain, torrential rain, T-storms and flash flooding. Ivan is not going to be happy about that. (Most dogs detest rain). Happy to say that I am posting this with a new keyboard and a new Ipad. I just need to get used to this keyboard. Jake @Crazy For Cats a very happy anniversary to you and Juan ♥️ Rain or not, I have to go out this morning 😔 Setting up an honorarium in Jose’s name to help future Nurse Practitioners with bursaries and then work on my spread sheets & the house. In between the rain drops yesterday I went outside to try to do some stuff (not much success) and was shocked as almost instantly a number of my clematis on the pergola have appeared. Hope the torrential rain doesn’t destroy them as it did my peonies. Prayers to those on the Care list, those suffering losses & health issues and those that need them. Cheers to those celebrating. 🥂 Have a great Monday everyone! 41

StLouisCruisers Posted July 17, 2023 Author #21 Share Posted July 17, 2023 Jacqui @kazu what beautiful clematis on your pergola! I hope the rain stops soon. Crazy how there is so much rain in some spots, and other areas are thirsting for it.🌧️ Last night we had 6 deer instead of our usual 3 out behind the property on the slope. One came up to the top of the slope muching on foilage including wildflowers. He was only about 20 feet from our back windows. I really enjoyed watching them and are glad they are sooo far from Jacqui's neighborhood. She has enough already! 25

Quartzsite Cruiser Posted July 17, 2023 #23 Share Posted July 17, 2023 Good morning from a very early morning in central Texas. We'll be back in the triple digits today and for many days to come. There will be no walk this morning since I'll be getting my exercise cleaning house. There are no tattoos in this house. The story of Wrong Way Corrigan has always been interesting. I'll use emojis on occasion, and hope I don't over do them. An interesting quote today. We'll pass on the meal and the drink. I would like to try the wine depending on the availability and the price. We have been to Molde in 2011 on Prinsendam. I'll look for my pictures next. Another interesting day in history from a country that has a lot of intrigue in its history. @grapau27 Thank you, Graham, for the explanation of Wrong Way Corrigan Day. @summer slope Dixie, I hope today is not too hard on you as you pick up Bailey's ashes. @rafinmd Roy, I hope you get good reports from all the doctors this week. @kazu Jacqui, please be careful when you go out in all that rain. The Honorarium in Jose's name is a wonderful way to honor him and help others. Loved the flower pictures, and hope they survive the rain. Quartzsite Cruiser Posted July 17, 2023 #24 Share Posted July 17, 2023 In 2011, the Prinsendam took us to Molde. It's main claim to fame is the Atlantic Road, an 8.3-kilometer long section of County Road 64 that runs through an archipelago in Hustadvika and Averøy municipalities. There is a very unusual bridge between two of the islands. We did not see too much of the town, as we took a tour along the Atlantic Road. Some of the WWII fortifications along the coast. One of the two villages along the road. The road and the bridge. Molde from an overlook. The sports complex the locals are very proud of, as seen from the ship as we sailed away. 26
cat shepard Posted July 17, 2023 #25 Share Posted July 17, 2023 (edited) Thank you for today’s R & D, Sandi - for Rich! A gorgeous start to the day after an afternoon & evening of wild storms that dumped a lot of rain on us. More washouts on our coastal road. Vanessa thank you for keeping up with us! Gym, Bindi walks chores and weather permitting - pool time. 🤞🏻 Prayers for all who need our support. Cheers to all who are celebrating! @Crazy For Cats Jake & Juan - Happy Anniversary! Here’s 🥂 to many more! Get well & stay well everyone! ********* Nalle Zinfandel Dry Creek Valley 2019 This Sonoma wine is available from several online distributors with prices starting at $34.09. I had never heard of a zinberry, so according to Google it is a blend of Zinfandel grapes and blueberries, often used to create a dessert wine. I definitely would love to try this wine. Winemaker Notes #32 Wine Spectator Top 100 of 2022 Rich with dusty cherry, pomegranate compote, vanilla, and plum spice. What you’ll taste here can only be described as Dry Creek sunshine in a bottle bursting with zinberry, dried cherries, and blueberry notes. Nuanced oak imparts a burst of fresh mid palate spice. Tannins are fine-grained and in tune with bright acidity and moderate alcohol, adding structure and body but never overpowering. This wine is cool and oh so gluggable. This wine has staying power. WS94 Wine Spectator Refined and graceful, this is a top form Zinfandel, with vibrant cherry and raspberry flavors laced with sweet anise and pepper. The finish lingers long toward polished tannins.
