Free drinks on Royal Caribbean... any ideas what to try? Want to make most of it to experiment

Recommended Posts

Hi all.

Bit of a different question here...

I qualify for free drinks in the casino on RC (am on Harmony now). I usually just have the same boring drinks i am used to from home. Dissarano and coke, jack and coke or gentlemen jack and coke.

I want to make most of it being free and try some unusual, or expensive.... or highly recommended drinks.

Any suggestions?

Thank you

Schooner Bar tends to have the most "unique" drinks on the menu. Otherwise just ask a bartender what he/she likes or if they have their own custom drink they like to make

Thank you, these are from the casino bar specifically that we get free drinks with. But i will certainly call upon the bartender to see if they have any ideas too 🙂

Try Tokyo Tea, its basically Long Island but instead of coke added, its replaced with Midori Melon Liquor. Its very strong though as all ingredients are alchoholic. Basically its vodka, gin, rum, tequila, triple sec + midori melon liquor. I think maybe there's sweet and sour mixed in as well.

Very similar to "The Pitch" at Playmakers. It has Midori and Sprite instead of Coke and something. Big fan.

BYOB (Bring Your Own Banana)

My wife actually does that for a couple different drinks. She frequently grabs a banana from the WJ and asks certain bartenders (usually the Solarium or suite sun deck) if they mind throwing one in to a strawberry daiquiri or whatever. She's not a big drinker and they become more like smoothies but she doesn't really care about the alcohol.

As an added bonus, the banana usually increases the volume to the point that she winds up with an extra drink.

This thread has 6 pages of drinks you could try.

We have a cruise in a few weeks and will have the DBP for the first time (Star class), so I've been adding them to a Google Sheet. 🙂

If I'm counting correctly, it's currently up to 56 different drinks!

But from past cruises, and very limited branching out, my favorite is the already mentioned BBC, my wife would say Portside Punch.

I will be back later with some feedback of the ones you suggested... unless i am a little too drunk then i will be back when i recover tomorrow

The most dangerous part about this is that you're getting your drinks while IN THE CASINO. 🙈🤣

I think Boleros has more unique drinks, but for ships that have it, The Bamboo Room has the most "creative" drinks!  I'm about to get the (official) recipes.
