Greetings from beautiful Port Charlotte.

68 this morning and a little warmer this PM with a high of 85.

Good selection of days as is the quote.

I like stuffed cabbage rolls with ground meat but not sure I’d like them with veggies.

My cold is much better but I going give golf a pass today and wait until Friday, instead we will make it a beach day, unfortunately DW now has the sniffles and maybe the sea air will help.

Have a great day and stay well.

Good morning.

It is still sunny and 42°F but rain is forecast in about an hour.

Thank you for today's daily and fleet locations.

3 well deserving days and quote.

I will give today's food and drink a miss and we have never been to Jordan so I'm looking forward to some tremendous photos.

Prayers for better health to all on our care list.

Best wishes for a lovely day to everyone.

Happy Hump Day & thanks to Rich, Roy, Vanessa, Dixie, Debbie & Ann for their dedication.  Special thanks to Rich @richwmn who fixed ship’s location on the Fleet report despite being on his own ship. I told him not to worry about it but he takes his job seriously and is dedicated.

Good collection of days.  I’ll happily celebrate my 3 brother & sisters here on earth and my brother in heave.  Excellent quote by C.S. Lewis.  DD DH and I enjoyed our visit to Jordan many years ago.

it’s been appointment heavy days between the podiatrist, acupuncturist & physio.  Podiatrist can’t do much for the pain in my foot but it’s good for it to travel she says.  She wants me to get a referral to a vascular surgeon 😬  Then I spent a few hours scrambling and re-planning when Air Canada changed our return flight.  Looks like we will have to fly to Moncton and drive home unless we want to travel for 7.5 hours to get home on what is less than a 2 hour flight.  GRRR. The direct flight to here has disappeared on our return date for some unknown reason.

Lots more appointments to cram in before I leave.  Prayers for those on the Care list, those suffering losses, grief, pain, health problems, worries & those that need them 🙏 Cheers to those celebrating and cruising 🥂

Good morning friends!  It's 57 here this morning.  We will have a mostly cloudy day with a high of 76F and rain moving in tonight.

Thanks Jacqui @kazu and Roy @rafinmd for the Fleet Report and Daily as well as the fleet location maps.  Hurray for farm animals, siblings and the founding of the Salvation Army.  Love the quote, hate stuffed cabbage, the drink sounds terrible and I'm not a red wine drinker.  It's a very interesting day in history.  Thanks to Debbie @dfish, Dixie @summer slope and Ann @cat shepard for the reports on food and beverage every day.

Prayers were said before hopping onto the treadmill at 5.  The list never seems to get shorter unfortunately.  Still praying for DB, great nephew Alex's twin babies, friends Scott, Susan and Sandy, the people in Israel and Ukraine, the 133 hostages still held and thought to be alive, the military members we have in the region, and most especially for my Daily friends on the Care list.  Hoping Tana is recovered from the pneumonia, and that Vanessa was able to sleep some.  Also wishing for less pain and good healing for all.

Cheers to those celebrating special events and enjoying cruises!  Thank you Vanessa @JazzyV for continuing to work so hard on the lists each day!

The port today is Aqaba, Jordan (for Petra).  This was the port before on July 27, 2021, Aug. 26, 2022, and May 26, 2023.  We went there once and really enjoyed it.  Here are the links to help with your photos.  I know you'll enjoy seeing them.

Hope you all have a great, productive day!  Stay safe and keep well!

We enjoyed a visit to Aqaba and Petra in October 2016 on the Emerald Princess.  We took a private tour with a roll call group and it was excellent.  Draining though with the heat so drink twice as much water as you think you should.  I nearly fainted at the end and had to plop down on the ground to prevent injury as we got back to the visitor center.  But I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

On Oct. 10, 2016 our private tour group drove 2 hours from Aqaba past the Wadi Rum desert wilderness area and arrived at Petra, one of the new seven wonders of the world.  We arrived by 9 am which is a good thing since this is a very hot, dry area and it only gets hotter as the day goes on. 00-krGnVk_TmW1vjXOSXmrbNCgtIzRKIF36hrdhGheqtVJ65ADl4H-3ksk_OZz933YR?cn=THISLIFE&res=medium

When you first start out there is an area on your left where they keep the horses.  You can either ride a horse, take a cart, or walk.  We walked.  The long walkway here is called Bab Al Siq.00-krGnVk_TmW1vjXOSXmrbNCgtIzRKIF36hrdhGheqtVJjLbD4NC8qmbzRyn6aXEML?cn=THISLIFE&res=medium

Sorry to hear about all of your health issues.

The first thing the foot specialist said to me was

Are you diabetic because most people with foot problems are.

My blood tests showed I was not diabetic but it was interesting he said that.

Hopefully you are not diabetic.

Graham.

Good morning.  Thanks for the Report.  Happy Hump Day!

Sunny and 15°C (50°F) today.  Maybe it's spring.🙂

Three good days to celebrate.  Good quote.

Not sure about the meal suggestion, I like the more traditional cabbage rolls.

The drink sounds like breakfast, I'm sure the wine will be nice.

Thanks for the pictures of Petra, I've only seen it on tv or in movies.

Prayers for everyone.

Have a wonderful day.

Suddenly ahead we saw, through the gap in the rock, the magnificent Treasury!00-krGnVk_TmW1vjXOSXmrbNCgtIzRKIF36hrdhGheqtVK0k_niSUwtkbd4Gh8N_HPW?cn=THISLIFE&res=medium

It rises to almost 128 feet and is intricately decorated with Corinthian capitals, decorative bands, figures and more.  It is crowned by an urn, which according to local legend conceals a pharaoh's treasure.00-krGnVk_TmW1vjXOSXmrbNCgtIzRKIF36hrdhGheqtVJ5ZEFT-JbG_t4-5ppkjM7z?cn=THISLIFE&res=medium

Good afternoon. For some reason I couldn’t log on to CC all afternoon on I Pad. Just switched to phone and voila!

We had a lazy day. Attended a lecture. Currently headed for cocktails then dinner in MDR Discovery. Big entertainment tonight as the house orchestra will perform Bourbon Street music followed by our Cruise Director Eric who is an outstanding performer. The musicians in the ships orchestra are exceptional musicians.

Captain stated at noon that we have sailed over 22,000 miles since leaving Fort Lauderdale.

Thank for the reports and post. Indian Ocean is smooth with periodic showers and hot. Bruce

Good morning, everyone!

It is going to be a very nice day here in mid-Michigan.  The sun is shining and the temperature is supposed to reach 70F.  My plan is to enjoy it while it is here.  Tomorrow is colder with rain.  I'm heading to the gym this morning and then plan on some yard work this afternoon.

The eye is much better.  I just have a scab of some sort on the upper lid.  I would say the infection is all cleared up, but I'll use the eye drops to completion.  Thank you for including me on the care list, @JazzyV Vanessa, but I think I can come off now.

Stuffed cabbage is ok by me, but I prefer the carnivore type.  I'm sure these are great, but the carb count is too high for me.  I try to limit to 30 grams of carbs in a meal and these have 61g.  https://www.eatingwell.com/recipe/252621/vegetarian-stuffed-cabbage/

vegetarianstuffedcabbage1.png.0f0fdb238a6b924b60d986cbb044b6bb.png

They look good, but I'm still passing on them.  The next recipe says only 23g carbs for each roll.  That would leave me kind of hungry.   https://www.lazycatkitchen.com/baked-vegan-cabbage-rolls/

vegetarianstuffedcabbage2.thumb.jpg.01bb71c7f89594a187ebb50cc7ff6334.jpg

The two previous recipes had mushrooms in the stuffing.  This one does not.  I think I'd prefer the mushroom stuffing, but some people don't like the shrooms.  https://www.themediterraneandish.com/vegetarian-stuffed-cabbage-rolls/

vegetarianstuffedcabbage3.thumb.jpg.b9604401d1cf98dfda709eb9bb476ee5.jpg

Hoping this finds you all well and wishing you a wonderful day!

Sorry to hear about all of your health issues.

The first thing the foot specialist said to me was

Are you diabetic because most people with foot problems are.

My blood tests showed I was not diabetic but it was interesting he said that.

Hopefully you are not diabetic.

Graham.

I’m not Graham.  those tests are always negative.  Foot doctor thinks there is a circulation problem.

Good morning. It will be 68 later today and the rain is expected to return for the next four days.  Thank you Sandi, @StLouisCruisers for the fabulous pictures of Petra.  I like the quote and love stuffed cabbage any way it is made by someone else. I will celebrate my only remaining sibling . I have seen most farm animals at a distance only. That is ok, they are rather large.

Today will be challenging as the aide had a previous appointment and we were unable to find another person to cover. We had a mixed night with sleep interrupted after three am. I wasn’t able to return to sleep and feel the need for more caffeine. We have discussed dinner plans and the executive chef wants quiche which is an easy fix.

@marshhawk, Annie, I wish the two of you could be cruising everyday if it brings pain relief.
@kazu, Jacqui, I wish you didn’t have the pain but I was happy to read that your foot was travel approved.
@grapau27, Graham, I hope the custom orthotic helps your foot pain.

Take care everyone

Good morning everyone.  Thanks for the daily reports and maps Jacqui and Roy.   Farm animals deserve good treatment.  The Salvation Army does a lot of good in our country.  Another great quote by Lewis.  Pass on cooked cabbage, the fussy cocktail but I enjoy about all wines from King Estates.  Thanks for the gorgeous photos of Petra Sandi!

Thanks for the cares and celebrations reports Vanessa. Prayers for Tana and everyone on our care list who are ailing or suffering pain or grief.  Prayers for all in was zones especially Ukraine and the Innocents in Gaza.

We had a lovely day yesterday. Beautiful weather for shopping.  The only turtle neck sweaters in TJ Maxx were in my size. Perfect.  We had lunch at a Asian restaurant and dinner at the steakhouse.  I had prime rib and bread.  Not very healthy but all I had room for. John had Ahi tuna.  Have a great hump day. Nancy
